    We hiked a mountain 25years ago. meron boiling clay. Not sure if that was mount makiling..

    I experienced that hike around 5 years ago. Bring a wide brimmed hat, water and a small towel. Wear booties since the sand on the way up was really loose (at the time). The hike up took more than an hour (I think) & there are steam vents along the way. When you reach the peak, it’s so surreal cause you will see the crater lake framed by Taal lake. We spent a bit of time up there drinking beer before trekking down. The hike down was a lot faster. If you ask me, I would never do it again. Too hot, dusty, tiring... watch your boss. Baka may balak magpakamatay. Btw, Taal erupted a week later.

    My longest hike was from paseo upto aling pinas tagaytay ang back...it was a 36km roundtrip. mtb playground namin yun...my wife wanted to see it personaly so i said lakarin natin...big mistake...

    That's 6km short of a marathon & more than 10 above the average daily distance of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. Wow!!! How bad were the blisters, sir?

    Very bad,...going up was easy..yung going down was hard on the knees....again it was worth it..saved my marriage
