Via Star Toll - Tanauan Exit ka na lang. Trapik ang Tagaytay-Sta Rosa road.
Alert Level 1 pa lang naman. Basta sa Daang Kastila ang hike ok lang. Yung pagpasok sa crater ang delikado.

I experienced that hike around 5 years ago. Bring a wide brimmed hat, water and a small towel. Wear booties since the sand on the way up was really loose (at the time). The hike up took more than an hour (I think) & there are steam vents along the way. When you reach the peak, it’s so surreal cause you will see the crater lake framed by Taal lake. We spent a bit of time up there drinking beer before trekking down. The hike down was a lot faster. If you ask me, I would never do it again. Too hot, dusty, tiring... watch your boss. Baka may balak magpakamatay. Btw, Taal erupted a week later.
Cathy, take the Tanauan exit of STAR.
Balai Isabel is just 15minutes away from there....
Face mask (it's a volcano) and mosquito/insect repellant and sun block..... Hat/towel to cover your delicate face/skin and loose long sleeve clothing... Hiking shoes... Water....
On the way back, take the Ligaya drive to Tagaytay....
