Mga Bossing, ride ko po ay Rav4 Gen2 4x4 (nabili ko po ito na 2nd hand).

ung 3 kong gulong year 2010 ang manufacturing date, ung pang 4 year 2004 ang manufacturing date.

Nagbasa basa po ako sa mga forum:

BRMA members strongly recommend that unused tyres should not be put into service if they are over six years old and that all tyres should be replaced ten years from the date of their manufacture.

me kamahalan din po kasi ung bagong tyre, kaya ask muna ako kung dapat ko na bang palitan ung gulong ko na year 2004, at dapat po ba ay pair (alin dapat ang palitan front or rear) or pwede 1 lang?

Tires are usually replaced on a per axle (front tires or rear tires) at the least.

The more worn tires are replaced first. Google 'treadwear indicator' to help you decide.

How worn is the 2004 tire? That would give you an idea. It will be on its tenth year in 2014 and thats the time you are forced to replace it. Worn or not. But given our local climate, Id suggest not stretching the ten year limit.

The six year rule is for unused tires (old stock).

Good morning doc.

Halos 80% any difference sa brand new.

maybe you have one more year of use pa....

bumile ako dati ng dalawang gulong bago 50% off kasi pero more than 10year old na.. 5 months lang tumagal sumabog na agad yung isa... then after several weeks yung isa naman..... buti nalang at city driving lang ako...

pag dating sa 2nd hand if 95% pa thread... GO FOR IT... tapos nasa 2.5k lang.. at below 5 yrs old yung tires.... madami din kasing nag uupgrade ng mags and tires... usually ang ganyan size 16" eh madaming magaganda pang 2nd hand...

to be sure nga lang go for BNEW na...

    Honestly, palitan mo nalang lahat.

IMHO, I don't think you can put a price on safety and peace of mind.

You did not provide any information regarding the condition (thickness, wear, etc) regarding the 2010 tires.

So I assume those 2010 era tires are still good and useable with around 75%-80% tread with no serious damage (punctures, damage to sidewalls, etc..).

Dispose of the 2004 tire ASAP.

Among the 2010 tires, pick the two best tires and you can put them in the front.

Buy two brand new tires for the rear. Preferably the same brand and series with the 2010 tires.

Use the remaining 2010 tire (the most worn out or damaged) and use it as spare.
