Tama ba Advan series is better than Bluearth?
Naka Advan Fleva 205/45/r17 ako ngayon, 4th year pa lang meron na bakbak parang ang bilis maupod expecting at least 5 yrs...

Ano kaya better alternatives - same price range with yokohama?

The Advan series are sport tires. They offer better grip and handling over the BluEarth series but generally, sport tires have shorter life span.

I don’t think it will last 5 years specially if you do between 10k to 15k km per year. Maybe 3 years would do for a sport tire.

Magkaiba ang bakbak sa upod. If you're measuring kung ubos na tread ng tires mo, you should measure if pantay na yung tread sa treadwear indicator:

My old Fleva V701 lasted 40,000 km before needing replacmement.

You need to replace tires every 5-6 yrs, or if you hit your treadwear indicator.

Btw, the V701s aren't good sport tires at all. Less grip than my stock Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 or my previous Kumho Ecsta LE Sport. Only Advan by name but no match to the real Advan V105 or AD08.

Bakbak? Have a look at the UTQG rating on the tires.

I just checked a while ago achilles 2233 doesn't seem to have a size that fits my 15" stock mags.

Same question --- where can I buy Achilles tires?

Meron dito - Achilles | Mindanao Tyrehaus

    Wala pala 205/45/r17 si BluEarth.

Achilles 2233 good ba? dami rin reco sa viosclubphils FB group. Pwede kaya mag 205/50/r17 para bawas tagtag? using stock suspension.

Using Yokohama Advan Fleva 205/45R17 for my Mazda 3. Ok naman as a daily tire. Better wear than my previous Bridgestone Potenza RE003, pero malayo yung grip.

Achilles 2233 tires ko before for my Altis. Lasted me 42,000 km so roughly the same lifespan as the Advan Fleva. Mura ng 2233 though so if budget is a concern, this is a good choice.

Have recently replaced my 07 Santa Fe's Nankang Surpax SP5 fronts. Lasted 2 years and 4 months or 17448kms according to my records. Lasted about twice as long as the Westlakes that preceded it, but not particularly satisfactory either, though I have to say the grip is indeed very good while it lasted.

Now trying out Thunderer Ranger SUV 235/65/R17s which I got for 5k each.

Well, I guess something like 2 years old. That way, you still have 3 years to use it.

Small difference in size with 195/55/15 and 185/55/15. You will have more sidewall protection with 195/50/15.

I see! Okay I will look into those. Thank you

    It's a 1997 civic. It was lowered by I would say... 2.5 - 3 inches.
Yes, it does the rubbing sound when i'm making a sharp turn.

It's been almost a month now I think since I lowered the car. I see no signs of damage on the tires so far so there's that at least.

Low budget yet good quality tires
