New Kia Sportage

Mga Sirs, napadpad ako sa KIA Sportage. I am currently here in Jeddah.

I previously posted sa Tucson and Lancer threads (as I had a hard time deciding between the two) - totally different category but in the end decided to have the Tucson. However wala yung color na gusto ko (black) at nainip na rin ako sa kahihintay. So I decided to look for other options, and then I discovered Sportage na parang twin sister ng Tucson. There is the black color that I like so I already made a reservation and will have the down payment next week. Afterwhich mga ten days daw bago madeliver ang unit.

Admittedly hindi naman ako marunong sa cars (my previous car was a Ford Focus na tipong ride and drive lang ako). I hope I can find information here about Sportage and tips here about maintaining the unit.

Appreciate kung may makakapagbigay inputs. Especially sa simple question (I forgot to ask sa sales rep) kung diesel or gas tong unit na ito.

The present sportage model in the international market comes with a 2.0L diesel or a 2.7 V6 gas engine. So yours is diesel. They also offer either a 4AT or 5MT model. Here in the philippines, they only offer the 4AT 2.0L crdi model. Sadly, wala kaming rear cargo cover.

I also have the black cherry color. Take note mahirap linisin ang black.

Kung yang Sportage mo ay may CRDi emblem sa likod...diesel po yan pero kung wala, well definitely gas variant yan...Saka malalaman mo yan kung diesel kung ang naka indicate sa takip ng engine mo ay 2.0 16v CRDi...another indication is in the tachometer.

If your tach indicator is up to 6000rpm, diesel po yan but if it is 8000rpm then gasoline variant po yan. if you need more info. just click the link below...

The SA said that its the 2009 facelifted 4x2 model which has dual SRS airbags, ABS, front & rear disc brakes, etc. Have to see it first to believe it or talaga bang ganito na nga ang 2009 4x2 models?

Parang too good to be true. Eh sino na lang kaya ang bibili ng 4x4 pag almost the same na ng 4x2 ang specs nila?

All the feature i mentioned are standard in my 4x2 2009 model plus new front fascia and new tailights as external upgrade...The fog light is included in the upgrade ( oval type ). the side consule / armrest also are adjustable.

added feature:
Passenger beside driver SRS Airbag.
Traction control and Anti Break system included
Front and rear disk break
and the rest of the feature, I already mentioned...

If you are really doubt, Try to visit Kia Cubao, Araneta Branch to see the actual unit...May display sila dun...or call James at 09274361265. Minsan kse yong ibang dealer eh binabawasan nila yong feature while ordering the unit.

Finally got my black KIA Sportage... It took me almost a month of waiting before the dealer finally released the unit to me. But it is worth the wait.



It is gasoline. Wala nga lang cruise control at climate control... pero ok lang

Puro kasi speculation ang nangyayari and I'm tired of car dealers quoting low prices with our SUVs. Ok sana ang Sportage kaso OVERPRICED and there is a new August 2010 coming very soon sa U.S.

Eto kasing Sta. Fe namin we got a very good price kaso they will not be trading in our old SUVs just to get another one.

So all those 3 equal to a sportage? Well depende kasi kung may buyer ng trade-in mo eh. Ganun yung samin. Nag trade-in kami but we helped the dealer look for a good buyer. we were able to sell our 95 sportage for 150k tapos nag subsidize pa dealer ng 100k (i think) so we got 250k less. kung gnun yung value i guess puwede na if all those 3 cars are equal to the sportage. maintenance, fuel savings, and others are worth it naman

Kung d ka sure sa appraisal nila have you tried appraising somewhere else besides a dealership (of any kind or car maker)? sa tingin ko kasi baba na tlga appraisal dun sa Paj at LC80 dahil sa fuel efficiency at age. Sa jimny d lang ako sure. Resale value i guess yung basihan nila?

he's selling it cheaper than dealers tapos mas full pa yung features nya (look at the photos closely). yung in-dash radio nya yung originally stock nya (hindi clarion or JVC) tapos may sunroof, stabilizer, etc. Daya tlga ng CAC bawas features mas mahal. Kaso warranty problema (i think) pag sa private seller ka bumuli

We are planning to buy an SUV to fit our needs when we travel to our lot in the mountain. The road is steep with large rocks. Our options are the Kia Sportage CRDi 4x4, Hyundai Tucson CRDi 4x4 and the Isuzu Sportivo M/T. Which is better? Please give the pro's and con's of each verusu each other. Thanks a lot!

IMHO, you might consider ford everest if you are going to use it for off road. The Sportage and Tuscon is designed for light off roading....

Anyway, I hope our fellow tsikoters can enlighten us regarding the off road capability of those two vehicles.
