tnx for the reply. that's reassuring.

no wonder the original aux fan died so early - after 3 1/2 years only; 60t kms odometer.

Sorento ko yong aux fan automatically shuts off pero ang radiator fan ko pansin ko palaging naka on. Ganon din ba sa inyo? Dapat pala mag hanap na ako ng replacement carbon brush para dito since I believe pagnaubos na siya di na gagana ang fan. Baka mas mura instead of buying a replacement fan

Kamusta na yung sorrie naten sir pierre?

OT: I'm very disappointed dun sa quality, presyo at support ng Speedlab sa Devilsown kit naten. Saken, I had it installed noong Dec 2nd week 08, di man lang tumagal ng 2 weeks nag dead na agad. Pati yung switch, pump... all not working, binutas pa yung fender ko sa ilalim ng gulong and 2 sharp screws are sticking out.

Diba sir Pierre naalala mo when we went to the event ng Devilsown sa Speedlab they mentioned na per install may FREE dyno test?! Well, I spoke with Sid kanina at sabi niya na they don't need to dyno test my sorento?? WTF!!! Although pareho tayong Sorento, m/t saken, iba ang turbo na naka install at naka aftermarket air intake with twin mandrel intake pipes saken. Kulang nalang forced chip ecu. Iba pa nga ang hp and torque ng sorento per year model eh. From 138hp up to 145hp. Ang reasoning ni Sid kung baket di ko na daw kailangan ng dyno is because may baseline na daw sila sa Sorento? So I asked him kung what year at what transmission. Sagot agad niya, it doesn't matter! Napaka lame naman nun kasi ang kutob kong tinutukoy niyang pinagkuhanan niya ng baseline power niya is yung Sorento mo, yung A/T na ayaw mag stick to 2nd gear at nage-engage sa 3rd. Sabi ko odi papaano kayo makakuha ng accurate reading eh kung si dvldoc nga ang sinabi niya saten nung event na yun is that your transmission is slipping and that he needs a manual tranny para makakuha ng precise dyno result. I checked his locked devilsown forum here... wala talagang dyno result yung sorento. Also, when I had the kit installed we were supposed to have a dyno run kasi yun yung freebie ng speedlab diba? The reason kung baket di natuloy noong December kasi sira yung dyno machine nila so I was just there waiting for their call to know kung kailan na ayos yung dyno nila, NR sila!

Aba di biro yung free dyno run nila. To those tsikoteers who went there and got a devilsown kit, remember they mentioned free dyno pagka install ng kit, right? Of course not! Besides, mahal yung dyno run nila, P2,500. I'm not gonna let this past kasi P2.5k is a lot of money, pang full tank yan ng 3.0L diesel ah! Besides I was along with 3 friends nung December and they heard na may free dyno run talaga. Ngayon, it's either 4 of me and my group are lying or isa lang sa kabila.

Ang pinaka lame na reason na narinig ko on why they I don't need a dyno is because weather or not the A/T is slipping may idea na daw sila sa max rpm niya? 3500-4000rpm daw. Pero contradictory na yun sa sinabi ni devildoc na kailangan nare-retain mo yung redline for 5 secs in order for it to become a legitimate/official hp gain. Papaano sila makakauha ng hp gain kung di pa nga tumatagal ng 3 secs sa 2nd gear eh nag a-auto shift to a higher gear na. Inconclusive yun. Nag a-autoshift to a higher gear once mag redline. I found that just BS!!! A simple car like my altis doesn't do that, also majority of European cars. Kayo, does your A/T vehicle regardless of make and model do this? Nag a-autoshift to a higher gear even though you set it to a low gear?

Disappointed ako kasi sabi "the pump will outlast the car" pero it's all *bulls..t* lang pala. Sad to hear di ka nila ni dyno after the installation since yeah sabi talaga dyno is free pag nag pa install ka. Hindi nila pwede gawin baseline ang naging dyno result ko since di naman completed yon eh dahil nga sa safety feature ng AT transmission ng Sorento ko to shift to higher or lower gear once the set rpm is attained. Yours is manual kaya magkaiba ang magiging results natin. Sa isang car ko napansin ko once you set the auto drive to D2 hanggang don lang mag lalaro ang AT shiftting while yong Ssangyong Actyon naman ni misis which is 6-speed hindi siya mag shift to a higher gear hanggang hindi mo flick ang "+" or "-" switch sa steering or sa trans shifter mismo.

    Pareng JeanPierre,

Planning to get the new Sorento next year, but I am crossing my fingers that it won't be expensive or else, might end up buying the Montero Sport. My Sorento will be 5 yrs already next year..

Can anyone help me out as to how to take-out a Sorento's glove compartment? I need to check the filter of the aircon as this is the nth time that it has clogged up. My filter was just replaced less than 2 years ago and the highest fan speed seems like the lowest setting now. Dont know what seems to be the problem and I dont want to bring it back to the casa again.

    hi cocojam.

open the glove compartment then you will see on both sides the plastic brackets held by a rubber or string of some sort which you can slide outwards to release the upper portion. then to take out the lower portion, just pull out the lower portion of the glove box towards you. when the glove box is out, the filter holder is easily seen and can be taken out easily. this is how i saw it when i had it taken out for cleaning at the KIA shop.
