IMHO It's a good deal bro.. Imagine diesel na yan.. plus hindi sub compact ang Sorento isa ang laki nang lalagyan mo sa likod kung walang upuan...Ok lang yung di powered yung folding at di fully automatic aircon.. ganun din naman ang Tucson at Montero di ba? Gwapings pa SUV mo....

xander ,,, yeah seems like a good deal .. but I made some analysis din and priced (approximates) the items na tinanggal sa Sorento na meron ang bagong Santa Fe.

PRICE DIFFERENCE = P333,000

1) no rear spoiler - P20k
2) non-chrome door handles (body color) - P10k
3) no steering radio controls - P20k
4) no 2nd and 3rd row A/C vents - P90k
5) the turn signal light will be transferred to the door sides from the side mirror - P10k
6) usual fabric seat covers (Sta Fe leather) - P60k
7) steering wheel and gear shift (won't be leather .. forgot the material) - P5k
8) no GPS ( Santa FE meron) - P25K
9) 2 extra seats - P50k
10) Sorento no side door moulding - P5k
11) P300,000 interest - value for money at 10% per annum for 180 days P15k

total = P300,000 .. makaka tipid ka sa Sorento ... net = P33,000

intangibles :

di naman ... maganda pa rin ang Sorento di hamak compared sa maraming SUVs ngayon.

sana lang iniwan man lang yung A/C vent sa 2nd row .. kasi pag mainit .. yung mga anak ko pinatatapat lagi yung A/C na galing sa harap eh .. mas maganda sana kung meron pa rin sa 2nd row.

all the others naman pwede kang pa sadya ... like the seat covers .. signal lights etc ...

murang mura na rin ang 1.295 for an R diesel .. 6 speed Sorento .. lumaban na sya sa presyo ng fortunner/montero .. kahit sa Tucson na mas maliit .. lumaban na sa presyo ...

Baka naman ang tinanggal eh yung Ven sa 3rd row and hindi yung sa 2nd? Kasi yung 3rd row may separate controls eh...

BTW, is the under chassis of the 2010 still the same with earlier model? Sig gregg...as a sorento owner already.... oks ba ang ride ng earlier model? Would you say na pareho sila ng Santa Fe? I have rode a SF going to the province and liked the ride....swabe and heavy ang dating.... not like thin can ang katawan.
