Good day mga Rio gurus we are planning to buy(hopefully by late February) a new Rio thanks to the promo the agent is giving me na-convince ko rin ang aking mother to buy a Rio well honestly speaking me and my father has the an eye on the new Accent 1.4L however it is very spartan and an ass-kicking 107hp engine(which I love ) for them to drive. However for 29-56K meron ka nang auto with all power features plus alarm very tempting compare dun sa power-steering ng Accent or the Vios J(plus windows). Gusto ko lang sana malaman kung ano ang pros and cons acquiring this car, this will also be our daily commuter(FC concerns) and why pick it for example against its brother Accent(which is now a facelifted version might be released in Feb). thanks for the inputs regarding my query and have a happy holidays.

Comparing the FC of an Accent CRDI and a RIO Gas is a no-brainer. The Accent will win hands-down. Even my Innova 2.5L Diesel is more efficient than the RIO Gas given the same driving condition and my style. Between the RIO and a 1.3 Vios, the Vios is more efficient. The 1.3E has ABS and airbag plus alloy rims, which the RIO EX does not have. Nevertheless, the RIO is a very fun drive. If you have the spare cash, go for the VIOS 1.3E or the ACCENT, though I heard the new ACCENT will be released with a Gas variant.

Well regarding sa Vios that is correct however they don't offer such payment compare sa Rio or Accent, the Rio may cost more but have less kaso with their low DP scheme and low MA compare to the Toyota counterpart however you still need to produce at least 120K just to have it our of the showroom. Saka this Rio will be my commuter saka with a low DP and MA kaya na kahit may kamahalan ang tuition sa school. With that in mind we are still waiting for the new Accent kung same feature compare to the Rio if not then the latter is our choice wala mang 107hp under the bonnet and hindi man new looks still a reasonable car to their schemes. By the way marami na bang parts (OEM or Aftermarket ) ang Rio?such as basic I/H/E pede sa kanya?thanks

Well, you and only you can decide on the vehicle you will purchase depending on your circumstance. As I said the RIO is a fun drive. The additional features of the VIOS 1.3E is justified I think, with reference to its higher Net Price as compared to the RIO. Kunwari lang yung High List price then High discount ng RIO. Talagang mababa ang price nya kasi nga it lacks the basic safety features (Airbags and ABS) that are quite standard na sa Japanese brands. Kung mayroon ang RIO siguradong mas mahal na iyan sa VIOS considering Net Price.
Yung RIO ko binilan ko ng Orig Foglamps and Window Visors (functional accessories that contributes to aesthetic look..). I'm sure marami na yan.

hello bro i have rio 2010 ex mdel, wala ko masabi regarding sa power ng engine and its very fun to drive magaan ba, pero dissapointed lang ako sa fc nya 9km/ltr lang mapa unleaded or xcs siguro try ko petron blaze baka umubra, compare mo sa vios to tingin ko malayo e mas angat ang rio sa porma, suggest ko lang kung for keep mo naman ang car mag rio ka nalang pero kung resale value sa toyota ka nalang, fc lang naman negative feedback dito rio airbag ndi naman kelangan dito satin yun sa trapik ba naman, napakababa pa ng dp

ung pagiging low-DP and MA ang tempting sa kanila...hmmmm,not a problem with FC kasi school-bahay-and some hangouts lang naman ang itatakbo ng sasakyan, yup this will be for keeps, that is why I am curios kung may mga aftermarket parts na magkakasha dito given na ung custom I/H/E other than that wala pa ako nakikita na nag mo mods sa atin,sa US meron na using carbon fiber hood and trunk. Anyways thank you very much for the input we are still trying to talk to a Hyundai agent to give us an update sa new Accent and from their we will decide kung ano sa 2 ang magiging sasakyan, probably after new year na mga 2nd week to have a figure

In terms of parts(OEM or authentic aftermarkets) I am not really sure kung meron probably more of the simple Intake, Headers and Exhaust lang plus a decent mags, whether branded or just using Taiwan mags(madami sa Tauman nito dun kami bumili ng "Rota" mags 15'' for 15k[set] and nankang tires) bibisita ako sa Banawe once decided na kami to check kung meron nang local custom parts or go straight to them e.g SMT or Freemuff or some shops along QC and for aesthetics baka meron dyan sa A-toys(West Ave) or Clifford(E.Rod--tama ba?)

Un lang talaga talo sa atin,sa international market loaded ang mga sasakyan pero pagdating satin stripped-off na mahal pa, like they said on the Tucson forum, I dunno why Korean car company are like that Nissan's Sentra lang ang naiisip ko na halos ganito eh mahal na less-features pa compare to its contemporary and market rivals(no offense sa mga Sentra users out there) but like we always said kelan ka ba naman makakapagpatakbo ng 160kph sa EDSA?hehe, kidding aside pero meron ding circumstances that we need those safety features but is such bumper to bumper basis especially when it rains palamigan ang labanan at talo mag overheat....peace

Racing mods pala gusto mo. Nagbackread ka na ba? Si Karlo may ginawang minor mods sa Rio nya then dinadala nya sa track for some fun. May naipost sya rito na video via youtube on one of his funrun.

Pareho tayo ng FC. I do agree that the RIO is a fun drive. I think a notch better than the VIOS.

I already saw Tangerine (orange) and Red Rio's. Mine is Titanium Silver - baka ito yung sinasabi mong "brown." The other color is Clear Silver and then the most common is White (marami ng taxi nito as well as private cars).

kakapanuod ko palang nung video,I also checked-out the facebook page...hmmm,not into serious racing "spirited" lang just to have a little fun and a simple boost out of the ordinary day driving, kasi kung magiging kasing lakas lang ng Toyota ang support from Kia edi ang saya sana kung meron silang TRD meron din sanang Rio sport package to spice things up...I saw on cardomain and youtube where they turbocharged the engine pero hopefully someday I can visit a circuit to learn and especially to develop discipline kesa naman the usual sprints or illegal drag races

Titanium silver pala yun, kala ko brown...hahaha,tanga ko talaga, anyways I really want either red or black, pero after seeing on the net a white EX with carbon fiber hood, trunk and wing I would say a white one will suffice, hehe

Happy holidays to all! Newbie here, can I just ask what's the difference of the 2010 to the 2011 model of Rio? yung nakuha ko kasing quote sa agent is Kia Rio 2011 and I'm thinking na baka yun din yung 2010 model. Does the 2010 model already have that AUX and USB port sa bandang ibaba? :please: I'm going to pick up my unit on the 5th of Jan, M/T Ex Titanium Silver.
