for those who would like to buy the new Carens.....please do not think twice. i have been a user since it first came out. very satisfied. gasoline consumption is 12-14 km/liter. sobrang comfortable ang ride. plus talaga ang variable steering system wherein you can choose among comfort, sporty or normal modes.

Sir I do not own a Carens but what would be prohibiting people from getting this would be the bad rep of the suspension. A cousin living in Antipolo has the old one and is having issues with the suspension as they cannot pinpoint the problem. Do you think the 2013 suspension has been improved?

Sir the 12 to 14km per liter consumption is city driving? How about the consumption in pure highway? Thanks alot

The current Carens is lighter and has a firmer suspension (not firm... just not as wallowy and ungodly soft as the old one). I doubt it'll have the same issues.

e2romo, don't tell those owners na "naloko" kami for the price we got our units. kanya kanya yan. kung namamahalan kayo, eh di wag bumili. pero wag sabihing naloko kami.

the 12-14 is mostly Metro Manila driving. i work at the Entertainment City and goes home to Merville through Multinational.

I agree with you sir on this...
Comparing the Carens EX with the Top of the Line Toyota Innova Diesel, obviously the Carens EX has all the edge except that the Innova has a higher ground clearance... Price difference between the two is around 260K but with the discounts given by Kia for the EX variant, the price difference would go as low as 100K which I think is very very reasonable considering all the features you are getting with the Carens EX...
By the way I currently own the previous gen Toyota Innova V...

For sure if ever I will get the Carens much better pa ang FC because my daily route is from Alabang to Cabuyao, Laguna via SLEX.
Normal driving speed ko is 80 to 100kph

hi louie, i am sure you will enjoy the new carens. the same way i am enjoying it. i thought i made a mistake when i sold my ford escape to buy a carens. to my surprise, these two (carens & escape) are two of my most comfortable rides ever.

lumalabas they tested the market first... nung iilan lang ang bumile.... binaba na nila sa tamang price...

now i'm considering buying this car....

coz i really like the carens...

IMO hindi sulit ang price nya dati...
