^ I see. Thanks! So based on that, would you recommend that I shift to Petron XCS or Shell Nitro (both RON 95) even if I'm not experiencing any problems with Shell Fuel Save?

for me, i'll recommend 95 RON because you will have "better or cleaner" fuel and you meet the recommended rating of the gamma engine. and not to mention the 0.50 petot per liter difference between unleaded is not that big (IMO)

FYI, shell nitro is only 93 RON. if you want to use shell go for the vpower which is 97 RON but definitely more expensive.

Or pareho sila ng Nitro? If so, ano po ang difference nila?

Hehe.

I finally got my Rio Hatchback last week. Sa may mga IOS: ipad or iphone, try nyo app na Road Trip to monitor and record your fc manual computation. You could also monitor your average expenses as to P/km. Very helpful.. Pati MMDA App

    ODO: 246km
    8.4L/100KM (11.90km/L)
    2000-3000 rpm
    Caltex Gold

    Manual computation.
Mixed: tomas Morato w/ medium traffic --> katipunan w/ light traffic --> marcos hway w/ light-medium traffic --> Antipolo proper w/ medium traffic --> junction w/medium Traffic --> Rosario Pasig medium to heavy traffic

So far so good pa naman. Honestly I'm a bit pessimistic when I got my ride bec I was really expecting for a bad fc(after observing all the fc problem threads for 2-3 months here in tsikot and other countries). I try to plan my route and check for MMDA traffic updates. Pati I do observe my driving habits.
Hopefully patuloy na sanang gumanda itong fc (keeping my fingers cross kasi it's too early to tell or conclude)Hindi ko alam kung updated version na ba itong hatchback.

congrats composite on your new ride,to get the actual FC try mo manual computation dont rely sa display sa cluster natin its not accurate.full tank ka then use it till you reach 50km or more then full tank uli and compute mo,sana nga may ok na mga rio5 unit ngayon ng maayos na din yun first batch.

speaking of which, hindi ko pa nalilipat yun sa akin hahaha!

hmmm...is this logically possible? So ibig sabihin, hindi pwedeng maglagay ng grounding kit ang 2012 model kasi magkakaroon ng ibang path ang ground aside from the original one?

This will be great news especially for those who are planning to get the Rio HB..
If you can wait until next year then this will be the best choice since a lot of FC problems has been encountered on the A/T lately..

Nakaka-walang gana i-compute yung fc ko considering ang ave speed ko based sa MID per trip to/from work ay naglalaro sa 6-10kph. Hehehe.

Papakargahan ko to ng Shell Nitro next time tapos from then on, ilalagay ko sa spreadsheet yung stats per trip: Distance travelled, ave speed, fc based on display at kung ano pang pwede. Hehe.
