Yun pala yung sinasabi nung SA na darating this week.
Yep D5U is a nice color. Pero White or Black lang choices.
Subukan ko dumaan, less than 1Km lang naman distance nyan sa house namin. He he

So far si Kia Acropolis ang may best deal based dun sa post ni nplazaro.
Cash discount, LTO, matting and of course the built in 3M magic tint which I will removeand replace with a Solar Gard HP Charcoal.
Sabi ko nga kung papayag si Cubao sa discount + LTO + matting + horns eh ok na ako![]()
Here is my initial review, might not jive with other reviews but I’m no pro
Ride – well, I think it’s a little bit more stiff if not the same as the crv but there is still the ‘float’ feel common to SUVs. It feels that there is not much travel on the suspension unlike the forester but there is no doubt that the sportage will handle corners better
Acceleration – start from a standstill is… well adequate, it’s not bone jarring quick but then again I still haven’t push the pedal hard enough but it is quicker than the 2.0 crv and the 2.0 forester. There is some pull probably on the second and third gear (no indicator what gear you are in, during auto mode) but you get the feel that the gearing is really for touring and fuel economy. Tranny still leaves some to be desired, I can still feel it quite hesitant or shift among gears like its finding the right one on 50-60kph weave through traffic
Handling – this cuv handles great! Steering is not mazda sharp but close (of course there will be more body roll since a taller vehicle). The sportage feels light, like you can toss it around, after a few minutes of driving it gives a confidence of shooting in and out of traffic
Braking – nothing exceptional, more or less same as other CUVs, haven’t really pushed the car though so can’t comment much here
Fuel consumption – I have just driven it around 30km with initial odo of 46km. compu display indicates 18.4L / 100km for total of 77km. route wheels Erod to Banawe to Qave to Circle to Katipunan to Marcos Highway to Antipolo Home. Moderate traffic. 4pm-7pm with stopovers.
The sportage is not without fault, I wont claim that it is the best cuv out there but for me this is the best value cuv at its current price range. I am one happy proud owner…unless of course they release the R eVGT soon hehe
BTW I went to maspro to have the horns change and I tried to keep a straight face when people stare and flocked to the car, they keep asking me what model was that and if the DRLs were standardthey had to remove the bumper to install the horns but the mechanic didn’t have any problems considering it was his first time with the sportage, done is 20 mins! But I think I shed a tear when they removed my bumper
I dropped by BigR on the way home, my wife had to buy some stuff, I got a lot of heads turn love it!![]()
Congrats sa bago rides Miles, marami na horns change DIY ng bago sportage sa iba forums, no need to remove bumper, just the piece of plastic above the tiger nose grill/ above the horn... anyway, magagaling naman mabalik mga mechanic sa maspro, baka gusto nila tingnan ang iba parts... natuloy ba hintay mo sa sorento?
Thanks! yun nga rin alam ko but the mechanic really didnt know how to remove the plastice above the grill, nung pinipilit niya medyo naghesitate narin ako sabi ko sige tanggalin nalang yung bumper, but they did a great job anyway. baka nga hehe lagi nalang akong na guiguinea pig, nakakatakot lang haha.
re sorento nope. i have to refund my down payment last April since 11mos nako nagaantay. what's funny is nung after ko magdown sa sorento i saw the sportage sa net, sabi ko sa sarili ko mali ata yung nakuha ko, little did i know sa sportage din pala bagsak ko
naaliw lang ata yung mechaniko haha! i got the bosch snail horns yung tig800,the stock horns sounded like an alto, ngayon baritone na siya hehe matches the sportages look
i used to buy stebel magnums around 700 but parang mabilis masira. baritone din yung sound nun
i dropped by leder interia to have leather seats kaso di na nasukatan since late nako nakarating. they quoted me 4200 for leather covers and 10k+ for leather upholstery. ok na kaya yung leather covers lang? is leder better than seatmate? i will be returning this saturday to leder para magpasukat
Ok, I noticed theres been a slow build-up of new Owners of the New Sportage, now its accessories time naman po sana....
Im trying to source out LED tail lights din IF its already out as well as other performance & aesthetic enhancements, care to share naman???
Im leaving for the US next month & im planning to bring in K&N Filters for our ride. I will still have to source out a good price for them. I might bring in roughly 4-5 Pcs lang since konte palang tayo but im sure as soon as the next batch of Sportages come in, lalaki na rin demand ng Accessories for them as well...
Ok naman yung Stebel Magnums nung friend ko, more than 1 year na niya ginagamit tapos mas matindi pa sa akin gumamit ng horns yun
Safe choice is Hella Twin Tone (red) kaso yun nga, color redmedyo masagwa tingnan sa loob ng grille. Nyahaha
Go for the re-upholstery. Pero I'm wondering 10K+ lang. Synthetic Leather lang din siguro?
Diba LED tail lights na yung Sportage?
Or you want the full LED tail light module?
Pwede mo naman siguro iwanan yung rear seats at front passenger seat sa kanila then on the last day, yung driver seat nalang gawin nila. Ganun ata kay seatmate.
