My agent called me this morning to inform me about the upcoming release of the 2007 Kia Carens. Any info about this car? Sana mura lang ito.

Hay!!! got bad news back home...my carens was a victim of hit and run, scratch on the bumper and a hole the size on a 1peso coin sa tail light, my SA said something like pag ang amount ay konti lang usually the insurance will only pay 60%, tama ba ito??? d bah we insured our car so that when something happens like this eh wala tayong babayaran, and now bakit ganito??? jezzzz!!!! my bp suddenly shoots up!!!!

You can check with your policy. It depends on the insurer. Usually they have a "participation fee". If the damage is less than the said fee, then ikaw lang magbayad. But if the damage is larger, the insurer will pay the excess repair cost beyond the said fee...

Your SA may not be aware of the insurance conditions.

For every accident, the car owner (the insured) could only claim in excess of the deductible or participation. The deductible is for the owner/insured's account.

Example:
Your insured value is P1 million. If your deductible is 2%, it is P20,000.

If the reasonable cost of repair is P20,000 or less, you couldn't claim from your insurance

If the reasonable cost of repair is P25,000, your insurer will pay P5,000 only.

My SA told me na may pagkamahal daw ang tail light ng carens kasi although na cover lang ang nabasag, buong tail light kit daw ang papalitan, dont know if its true, i'll just wait for the feedback at home, my SA is still checking the price of the tail light.

what you have to do is review your insurance policy. Look for the deductible portion which state how much is share. For example if the deductible states that 1% than your share is 1% of amount insured . Lets say you insure it for one million then your share will be 1% of one million and thats PS 10,000. If your repair cost is 20,000 than you have to pay Ps 10,000.00. the excess of 10,000.00 will be shoulder by your insurance. Check your policy if your deductible is 1%, 05% or the minimum of Ps 3,000.00.

In terms of performance, Carens due to vgt turbo. I've driven both Tucson and Sportage CRDi with conventional turbos, they are both nice. But Carens is much much powerful. Those SUVs find it hard to accelerate further after 120kph, but Carens has the grunt all the way up to 180kph.
