September 2nd, 2009 11:08 PM #11just sent my ride for the 5K pms. Complained of brake noise. The service advisor quickly said that they will replace the brake shoe for free. Take note they haven't even looked into my car. It seems there is an instruction from their koreans to upgrade the brake shoe. Check it out with your casa.

October 1st, 2009 10:29 PM #13You are lucky, they didn't charge you for the brake pads. I had the same problem a month ago. I hear this soft "tambourine" like noise when I drive (thats how my daughter described it), and on soft braking. I was also due for my 15k PMS so I went to Kia Pasig. The front brake pads were changed for the price of Php3516.06 . No more noise this time.
I read the owner's manual, the warranty on brake pads is only up to the 5k PMS.
Nakita ko nga din sa brochure na meron, kaso sabi nung service advisor, kapag J DAW auto down lang...
