juno: man are you serious? right place, right time. Kawawa lang nga yung owner pero sagot naman yan ng insurance.

garyq, yes, i work at pier 8. i did not actually saw the exact scene while the trooper was falling into the water, but i saw the trooper, habang papalubog pa lang ito (medyo kasi nagkagulo and it happened while i was doing my rounds at the area). di agad nag submerge yung trooper dahil enclosed ito at may air pa sa loob.

i saw the owner coming, halos maiyak yung sya patakbo dun sa kanyang trooper. para ngang gusto lumundag sa dagat eh. actually, yung trooper was parked about 10 -12 meters from the edge of the pier. apparently, meron daw tao na sumandal dun sa likod ng trooper (pero wala na umamin). tapos umusad na dahil di nga naka-handbrake. di na nila napigil yung trooper kasi di naman level yung pavement.

it was our company's crane that was used to lift the trooper out of the water.

there was a discussion after the incident. wala akong alam sa mga diesels, particularly troopers. somebody said na yung mga recent models ng troopers mostly are A/T.

now, what puzzles us is kung pano naiwan yung sasakyan na naka neutral kung matic un eh di ba di naman napapatay ang makina nun kung di mo ilalagay sa park??

what we heard was the trooper was a 2002 model ata pero manual tranny. can somebody confirm this. (we suspect baka import itong unit na ito.)

alam ko pwede mo naman patayin yun engine kahit neutral lang. di mo lang matatanggal yun key. Mukha naman sya local na trooper.
