For sure an authorized ISUZU dealer would have those you're looking for...... for a price, of course. Now if you're looking for a similar (if not the same) accessories but cheaper, you may visit the series of stalls in Banawe. For sure one of those stalls would have them.

Just a tip if you so decide to take the 2nd option. Visit a dealer who has all those you desire for your Alterra. Check the brand and the price. That should be a good reference when you do a search in Banawe.

Exactly 12 days since I got my 2011 Alterra 4x2 AT. Odometer now reads 1,101km and fuel consumption is 8.4km/ltr. When i drove it out of the casa, the odo was just 62km and the registered FC was 7.3km/ltr.

Is this a good run during the break-in period considering my speed was limited to max 90km/hr for highway and 40-60km/hr for city driving?

Also, I notice that the my alterra's floor seems not well insulated against external noise. I can loudly hear impact of stones whenever it hits the bottom part of the car. Is this normal? Louder kasi siya compared to other vehicles.

    TIA.

Can't wait for this. I will sell my present Alterra and get this one instantly once it is available.

I heard a lot of good things about this VGS engine of Isuzu.

Just a brotherly advice as to making our hard-earned money's worth.... before further making purchases of the current Alterra.

Try considering that late this year or early next year, there's a high-probability that (finally) a new Alterra will be offered to us Pinoys (take note of the emblem written at the door-side and the "hood-scoop" of the 1st photo below).

That will replace or compliment the current Philippine-Alterra that looks like this....

For those who have not heard it yet, there is now a new Isuzu DMax "RT-50" for 2012. The RT-50's body and 3-litre engine are way differentiated from the present DMax's we see here and overseas. This new Isuzu was tested recently in Chonburi, Thailand. Initial horsepower figure of the new engine is above 180'ish.... The same engine will be fitted to the 2012 Isuzu MU-7 (which prolly you all know it is the "Alterra" of the Thais).

That leaves Isuzu Phils. no choice but to FINALLY bring-in now the "latest prior engine model" before the RT-50's new engine was concieved, which is the iTEQ VGS Turbo engine, or otherwise known as the 4JJ1-TCX. The 4JJ1-TCX was already in existence since 2006, and even at that time, it is already variable-geometry turbocharger (VGT)-equipped....
....The current engine plugged into our present-day Philippine-Alterra and DMax is actually the old year 2004 CRDi-only engine known as the 4JJ1-TC "standard", and this is the "3.0 Ddi-iTEQ" emblem we see....

We Pinoys would now be two (2) generations behind of the latest technology that Isuzu is offering in other countries if Isuzu Phils. won't still bring-in the iTEQ VGS Turbo engine for 2012.

Just my 2 centavos.... Good day guys.
    Good post bro.

I really hope Isuzu Philippines does not see the Philippine market as dumping ground of their inferior units. I read stories about recalled Trooper units from abroad still being allowed to be sold here, and also this 4JJ1 VGS engine beein in Thai and Australia many years ago but not here. These kinds of stories if true are irrititating and as much as I have faith in Isuzu products, I can't ignore the fact that Hyundai, Everest and now Montero have VGT CRDI engines here in the Philippines.

I suggest you don't. Just keep them. The price these shops would offer to buy your OEM rims/tires would rather make you think of just keeping them as spare.

    Benzmizer is correct (as always).

When I first ordered my Urban cruiser, I had a preferrence for Michelin rather than the Bridgestone tires supplied.

All inquiries offered nothing for my brand new Bridgestones as trade-in, and full price for Michlin.

    My solution;

I have kept the Bridgestones, and come to appreciate their good points, in spite of a love affair with Michlins dating back to 1961. Yes, 1961, not a misprint!

The Bridgestones are very quiet (no road noise), and they have very good road adhesion in wet conditions.

I just really hate that they pick up so many stones and pebbles, and stubbornly hold on to them, but I live in farm country and travel unpaved roads a lot.

    Ciao!

    Uncle Nick.
