Hello to all fellow trooper owners! been awhile I have not visited this forum.

I still have my '01 LS and to date, 186K na sa ODO.
Replaced already the tensioner and belt at 185K.
2nd hand owner ako and bought it in '08, and ever since hindi ko pa sya na dala sa casa for PMS.
But here's the trick, I only use BESCO oils, NEVER ever use any other brand.
And I have no plans, at least yet, to let go this beautiful truck, even planning to hand it over to my son :-)

Hi guys good day its my first time here in the group. Iam glad to hear comments and opinions from the isuzu trooper owners out there. Meron po kaming isuzu trooper 99' 4jx1-tc m/t local unit.And according to my service adviser there only 5 units active sa list nila whole central visayas. Rare ba to na model philippines?

My other concern is my 4x4 is not working. Sira na daw ang "2wd-4wd actuator assembly". Nag inquire na aku sa isuzu mandaue cebu wala na raw stock. Kahit sa isuzu philippines main plant. inikot ko na ang lahat ng auto supply sa cebu wlang stock tinawagan na nila ang kanilang mga supplier sa manila wla silang stock. Nag hanap aku sa mga surplus shops meron man but the thing is that they don't sell it by piece u have to buy the whole engine. Which is impractical. Iam tired of looking that part.

Sine its an actuator, meaning its driven by a motor, it can be repaired.

Pina kita ko na sa electrician yung motor sir. They told me its beyond repair since durug na yung magnet sa loob na motor.

Hi guys, newbie lng sa group, we bought a 2nd hand trooper 03 last year around novermber, nasa 76k na odo reading and so far wla pa naman akong naencounter na major problems, hope it stays that way kasi sa mga nababasa ko madaming prob ang trooper specially the 4jx1 engine ask lng ako mga sir kung my alam kau kung saan makakabili ng foglights or anyone here selling foglights for isuzu trooper? TIA

It will be a tough thing to look for
foglights for the trooper since it was used only from 1997-2001 model the 02-05 don't have
try isuzu dealeship and banawe
And sa engine sa casa mo lang pa serviced since mga nagkakaproblema sa labas dinadala/PMS ang trooper nila
and put clean fuel like V-power diesel

Thanks, yes mahirap nga maghanap ng foglights para sa trooper, im using petron diesel max sa fuel, much better ba kung shell?

I suppose kung wala kang mahanap na fogs, you can go for rectangular aftermarket fogs. I'm sure there are some that would fit.

I'd suggest you try out Unioil diesel. It is rated Euro 4, the cleanest we have.

i have a 2002 isuzu trooper skyroof local automatic transmission, help po

1) going uphill nasa 20 km lang kaya nya, parang mahirapan na makina aabot ng 21 km kahit tapak tapak ka ng gas
2) pag start sa umaga, from 1st gear to 2nd gear tagal mag shift pero kung takbo na sya ng 50km pataas ok na

pinalitan ko ng atf oil at atf filter last 2013. slight imprvement. pero hirap pa paakyat. saan kaya pwde pagawa nito? salamat

Kung tranny problem maybe you can try changing the differential oil? May black smoke ba pag nahihirapan siya?

wala naman sir. differential oil? bakit palitan? nahirapan lang pag akyat pero wala black smoke

The differential oil must be changed every 40tkms if I remember correctly. Since the ATF is not the culprit, the next troubleshooting move I would be inclined to do would be to check if the differential oil is already malapot. Being placed between the tranny and the wheels, it may also be a possible suspect.

Im no expert... But do check if your winter mode is on, or stuck, or engaged or broken.... Winter mode, starts the transmission at 2nd gear... And all the rest of the gears will work normally... Its always a slow start

Okay ba VSS? Kung slip gear Ka sa 1 and 2 try mo check EPC & TCC sol sa V.body.

Mga sir, is there a way po ba pra mapalitan ng clear lens ung headlight ng 03 trooper? O kailangan ko pa humanap ng headlight assembly na clear na tlg yung lens? Balak ko po kasing pgwn ng hid projector ung headlight ko, d ksi sapag ung ilaw nya sa gabi lalo pg pitch black tlg ung kalsada. TiA

Medyo mahirap to since the Trooer has never had multireflector lens officially. However, garyq of hidretrofit does make them. It's not cheap, but they're really good. Check out the thread he runs here.

go to garyq. nagpalit sya ng clear lens nung nag hid retrofit yung isang member dito. or go to his website.

Oo nga sir nkita ko na ung sa hidretrofir, ganda nga ng kinalabasan nung trooper, pero tama kayo mejo pricey hehe.. Pero sir kung naka projector headlights tapos yung lens eh stock pangit po ba kalalabasan nung ilaw?
