After close to 7 months of trying, the riddle has been finally solved.
I bought a 110Amp (P6k) alternator and tried it on my old "QUANTUM" battery, it showed significant improvement climbing to 14.4-14.5V on the multimeter during revs. But still wont start every morning, then waited a few weeks and bought this Indian made Hi Life AMARON battery (A Johnson Controls Co) with 600CCA, 17mos warranty for P5,040.00. Am now idling at 800-900rpm during night time with all the onboard electricals turned on like aircon, headlight, wiper (when raining) & radio. The aircon also improved a lot even during the intense noon time sun. The batt is a bit pricey but I really wanted it a try.
I think the 14.x voltage during rev is alternator voltage rating, not the battery, that maybe why you still mot able to start at morning till you replace battery.

hello,nagbili ako ng lumang isuzu hilander sl para pang karga lang,tatagal p kaya ito?ok pa naman makina nya ng pinacheck ko sa mechanic,may nabasa ako sa gantong model na may issue daw sa wheel bearing? ilang months lang ba ang tintagal ng wheel bearing? and magkanu ang palit ng wheel bearing? salamat.
Roughly 40-50k kms yung sa akin. Sinasagasaan ko na lahat ng lubak niyan. Xtrm so masmalaki at masmabigat ang gulong kesa sa sl so tingin ko mastatagal dapat yung sa iyo...although 95% of the time 1-2 passengers lang ako. Kinonsider ko yung conversion dati kaso di sulit sa application ko na hindi naman loaded lagi.

kargado kasi lagi ng paninda yung nabili kong hilander sl lumang model pero astig pa dinpang karga ng mini grocery mga sako ng bigas etc.
may idea ba kau sir sa convert kung magkanu aabutin para tumagal naman yung servce nya?sabi daw kasi ng binilhan ko na 1st owner hnd daw advisesable ang converted kasi delikado daw,kahit san ba mechanic nag coconvert sila?
and yung price nya pala is nakuha ko lang ng 145k,wala kasi ako idea sa sasakyan need lang talaga ng service kasi baryo at malayu sa bayan pero hnd naman roughroad.
pina check ko dn sa mechanic kanina need daw icalibrate yung makina.

Pasensya na sir di ko alam magkano e. Tatagal naman yan sir kahit iretain yung stock. Regular check lang sa bearing at replace/repack kung kailangan. Kahit convert niyo kailangan pa rin bantayan at imaintain yung bearing kaya sa tingin ko marginal difference sa maintenance cost. Baka nga lugi pa sa expense ng conversion lalo na kung di maganda pagkakagawa. Delikado dahil syempre diyan nakakabit gulong mo sa harap. Added consideration kung papalitan harap, kailangan din yung likod kasi mismatched kung 4 stud lang yung likod.

Di naman catastrophic failure yan sir. Maingay ang bearing pag malapit na magfail. Kaya may warning signs ka at madaming chance ipagawa bago tuluyan magfail. Kung may duda ka, lift mo yung gulong at kung medyo malaki na alog, isang sign din yun. Palitan lang agad kung kailangan baka madamay yung spindle. Masmalaki gastos pag pati yun nasira.

Baliktad tayu sir ako 4 stud gusto ko magng 6 stud,db ang crosswind naman wala issue sa front wheel bearing,yung nabili ko kasing hilander sl yun ang maliit ang wheel bearing pero di pa namn nasisira. Hnd daw kasi naabot ng 1 year ang wheel bearing pag lagi gamit.
