salamat sir for your reply.... dmax na talaga kunin namin hehe..
Just to reiterate chief Dimapilis, if the D-max is your final choice better WAIT for the all-new D-max RT-50. It will be in showroom floors 1st Quarter 2014. Don't end up buying a brand-new current Philippine-issue D-max as it's already 2nd-generations behind the all-new D-max, apart from the fact that by 2014, this particular D-max is already 10 years old. ELSE, if you settle for a 2nd-hand or a used unit, then it's just fine to get at least a 2010 model for its FLEX-ride feature.
If on the other hand, you can't wait for the arrival of the all-new D-max, then you have a lot of other pickups to choose from which are also "all-new", e.g. the 5-straight cylinder Ford Ranger 3.2 TDCi, it's smaller brother 2.2 TDCi, and also the Chevrolet Colorado 2.8 Duramax VCDi. Personally, i would go for the Ranger 3.2 TDCi if i'm no longer keeping my "oldies yet goodies" D-max'es, BUT, I am keeping them ;)
Goodluck!
Indeed! I just recently got a 2013 Urban Cruiser x Alterra and my dealer told me that they will be releasing a new dmax in the marker soon. Better wait IMO

I am a very strong Isuzu support fan......but today I saw "on the road" the new Mazda pickup.
Talk about eye candy!!! Yum-yum.
Ciao!
Uncle Nick.
*Jgwapz Wala pa bang nakakabit na RC dyan sa DMAX mo? Same unit din kasi tayo kaso sakin naman ay 10.5 to 12Km/L city & long driving para malakas sa fuel.
Casa Maintain ng Isuzu Sto. Tomas.
San ka nag papa mimaintenance ng Dmax mo?
Just to share what i got with my crosswind '13. It was a family day drive challenge at Isuzu QA last May 18 (very recently). Got full tank at Shell station. The way start at Izusu QA then proceed to Quezon Circle (have a little traffic) then out at north ave (have a little traffic from near trinoma up to sm north EDSA. Then proceed to balintawak enter the NLEX going to Sta. Rita Exit then go back to Isusu QA via EDSA then refill again at shell station. My total trip is 76.2 KM and refilled fuel is 3.1 Ltr. My FC is 24.5 km/ltr. What i did is to maintain my speed at 80 kph, less braking, no start dragging. Can't believe but it's true. My ODO is 1700km and just perform the1st PMS.
I was one of the competitors in the DMAX Category. Unfortunately 4th placer lang ako... But I also joined Isuzu Family Driving Challenge at Isuzu Alabang on Sept. 2012, luckily I'm the 1st placer on Dmax Category...
My fuel consumption with Isuzu Alterra 3.0 AT 4x2 2013
Shell: (city driving)
Nitro+ Diesel: 9.5 km/l
Fuel Save: 11.7 km/l
Shell: (long trip laguna to baguio)
Nitro+ Diesel: 12.8 km/l
Fuel Save: 11.7 km/l
Fuel Save have slow acceleration but good fuel economy. Nitro+ has good acceleration but my engine seems to drink more diesel when i use this. I dont recommend using Nitro+ Diesel if you're in city driving.
Just sharing.
I can't edit to my previous post! That sucks.. Anyway, updates on diffrent brand. (I hope the administrator could merge this data to the previous post)
UNIOIL Euro4 Diesel (40% city driving, 60% expressway) : 10.1 km/l
Your engine is really quiet! (amazing!) I almost cant even hear my engine if I put my music volume on 13-15 (on stock). Regarding the power, it has more power than Shell Fuel Save, but less power than Nitro+.
Just sharing.
2008 Isuzu D-max 3.0 Ddi-iTEQ manual transmission (with Racechip Pro 2 at C-C setting)
11.2 to 11.4 km per litre in Metro Manila driving
16.4 to 17.0 km per litre in freeways at average speeds around 85 to 110 kph. Plus 20 km per litre at 75kph to 80kph in freeways.
13.4 km per litre going up to Baguio along Marcos Highway at speeds. Engine rpm at 4th gear hillclimb 2000 to 2250 rpm approx. Downshifting to 3rd in tight hairpins or switchbacks ---- NO Racechip Pro 2 as this run was in December 2010
17.1 km per litre in long but relatively flat provincial roads with intermittent towns in between ---- NO Racechip Pro 2 as this run was in April 2010

ang swerte nyo sa sasakyan nyo. mine is xuv at. FC is at 9km/l: city driving and around 11km/l sa hiway.
Hi sir, so far so good. When i still didn't have the Racechip Pro 2 my fuel mileage in Metro Manila is around 10.5 km per litre though i'm generally not a light-footed short-shifter kind of guy.
Depending on how you set-up the combination on the increased power and power distribution thru the rev-range, the good thing about raised up (fuel) rail pressure (up to only a certain point) is it gives more power at the same amount of engagement that you do without it.... Thus you save slightly on fuel since you tend to be relatively light-footed on the accelerator pedal.
i'm only using a relatively lower power combo setting withe the Racechip since i didn't do any modification on my exhaust such as changing the head pipe section of my stock exhaust pipe to a 3-inch diameter down-pipe to handle effectively increased exhaust gas temperature from the increased injection pressure. This is my next project ---- install a 3-inch diameter downpipe such that i can go up safely into the power setting....
A tsikot member here in the name of Jedi is the one of the contact person for the Racechip Pro. He will hook you up to Mike Blum, the owner of the Racechip distributorship in Philippines.....
Goodluck!
