I'm getting about 8km/L on my new D-Max 4x2 A/T (70% city driving). Is that normal? I was expecting more.

    Hi to all D-max owners.

I noticed a vibrating sound coming from my 2010 d-max 4x2 a/t and I have it check in Isuzu Manila. The service advisor told me that the sound is caused by over charged of freon from the aircon thats why they need to reduce the freon from my aircon, is this possible?

    TIA

I agree that too much freon charge and type may cause harm to your system but that being the cause of vibration?.... I'm not totally sold to it.

But if after "reducing" the freon charge to your pick-up the vibration disappeared, maybe.

Actually, the vibrating sound is still there. By reducing the freon, will this not affect the performance of the aircon making it less cool? I'm afraid this might affect the aircon performance.

By the way, I went back to Isuzu Manila and told them that the vibrating sound is still there and they told me that baka kulang pa ang pasingaw sa freon... (but I did not let them reduce the freon yet until now) Is this possible Benzmizer?

A vehicle running on bigger rims would always be aesthetically more attractive than of stock BUT it is also a given fact that bigger rims result to compromise in riding comfort. (I should know that)

So decide what you would like to prioritize, riding comfort or better looks. If you decide comfort, I suggest you replace the OEM shocks with Bilstein HD (Comfort Setting). My Trooper rides on them while on 22" rims. Thou ride is compromised (bigger rims), the Bilsteins compensate for this and makes the ride acceptable.

Where is the vibration coming from? The aircon system or the vehicle itself? (both idle or running)

The vibrating sound is coming from the front part of the car, I'm not sure if its the aircon system.

Yes, I can hear vibrating sound both idle and running but very not consistent.

Sir, if you would look in the ISUZU DMAX OWNERS Archived, page 263, I posted there regarding my initial findings with my Dmax when it was still new. It was back in Aug. 08.

The issue was there is a sudden kkkrrrkrrrrkkrrrraarrrrrr or kkkkrrrrrrrururgggurrrggg sound that would last for about 2 seconds more or less than would surprise me each time that sounds regardless if the car was running above 60 or 30 or even came from a hump. It's like a weird vibrating sound with an echo that would make me think what is wrong and what did I do to produce it. It went on like that and the thing is that sound doesn't come often. It comes and goes. I tried to report it to Isuzu Q. Ave, but now I go to Isuzu Commonwealth, to no avail. I have learned to live with it for a few months.

Fast forward to a year, I seldom hear it and I don't even recall hearing it anymore. I didn't do anything, the mechanics at Isuzu didn't do anything, it just went away.

Maybe your truck has a different problem but that was my experience with that weird elongated vibrating sound.

By the way, my Global Dmax will be 3 years old in Aug. Time flies.

Bilstein HD (yes, HD means Heavy Duty) is available locally. Setting available is COMFORT. Nope, setting indicated does not mean lift settings.

PM me for your contact details so we can discuss what you need.

    Thanks for your reply sir.

Seems like we have the same problem sir... But when I brought it to Isuzu Manila, they reduced the aircon freon. I'm afraid this might make my aircon less cool...

That's for sure. It's either it will make the aircon less cooler or the span of your aircon producing cold air will be reduced.

Up to now I never had an answer what that sound was or what produced that sound, it just went away. I hope that annoying sound will never recur.

Do I need to put back the lost freon? is there standard amount of freon which I can follow?
