I would like to know if there are still brand new dmax boondock edition, or 2013 dmax model before this 2014 or so new model?
Mas kursunada ko yung dati before this new dmax na kalalabas, unfortunately mukhang wala na. I tried asking the sales agent at an isuzu delearship pero wala na daw. Just wondering kung may mga natira pa.
    Thanks

As brand new unit, wala na yata....

At mismo sir! ....The boxy shape always does look way better than the current mala-aerodynamic and slopey shape na akala mo lilipad. Yang shape na yan, at least for me, is the best-looking D-max design ever, especially the one with the "hood-scoop" that we Pinoys never got ;)

....Yun ngang Innova 2.5 D-4D ni esmi kada nakikita ko asiwang-asiwa ako sa shape ahihi , though the Toyota Hilux is still really OK for its boxy shape, the Fortuner and the Navara 2.5, and arguably, the all-new Ranger. Volkswagen for one, is still a patron of the boxy style (except the classic Beetle ever since, of course).... So, you might wanna wait for the truly boxy-shape pickup VW Amarok 2.0 TDi VGT when it comes to Pinas, if ever. Ayala Corporation will be opening the VW Philippines.

Going back, except for the "bungi-bunging" grille onto the 2013 D-max (just before the arrival of the "so-called" all new D-max), the 2013 looks very good.

We have two (2) boxy-shape hinD-MAXsiado, one old 4JH1-TC non-CRDi turbo-intercooled and the CRDi 3.0 Ddi-iTEQ 4JJ1-TC wastegate turbo-intercooled. The old one's odometer is now at 334,250 kilometers so far, and in good shape ;)

Sana nga hindi itinigil ang production ng previous shape D-max ----- sa totoo lang sir, mas madaming naghahanap dito na maka-Isuzu lalo na mga traditional pickup buyers, until there is no more choice for them but to buy the new-shape

    Cheers!

Okay sana kung pati engine e yung bago din, but it is the same engine in a new body lang.
Lahat kaya ng 2013 models naubos? What do the dealers do sa mga hindi nabili if ever?

*jgvus: When my OEM driver side got busted, I saw that they used Philips. I wanted to use the same brand and I found one in Blade. Pretty expensive. Then when my passenger side HL got busted, I went to a car shop and they have Bosch. I want something cheaper so I tried it. Just a little more than a yr, my driver side HL got busted again. That time I went to another car shop and Michiba is the brand that they have. So I got that.

Honestly, I don't see any difference between the 3 brands when it comes to the brightness. Mas mura lang ung Bosch and Michiba.

Any commended brand will do, important is the same wattage as the other headlight if not, iba ang output.

Personally I replaced our using osram. So far so good.

Addendum: Anyone who has a copy of the parts catalog for the dmax?

    http://catalog.isuzu-astra.com/download/DMAX.pdf seems to be broken.

I just tried it (again) and found it to be working OK.

Thank you all for the reply. I had it replaced sa casa (q. Ave). However on the same day i was on my to the casa, nag check engine yung dmax, 1st time i even checked the manual to know what the warning was. What was supposed to be a simple bulb replacement turned out to a be financial burden as they also replaced the EGR. It's a 2010 dmax with 56k mileage.

Did you get the "old" EGR valve given to you?

The valve can be cleaned and kept as a spare for future use.

I understand that the Casa has to think about warranty on the repair and the cost efficiency of replacing the valve with a new one rather than a cleaning/repair operation. However, from your point of view, please consider an alternate solution next time that the symptoms reappear...and they will.

    Ciao!

    Uncle Nick.
