rasta, its better meron ka spray on bedliner plus the plastic on top kc the cabliner wont get rusted that easily kahit hinid mo linisin or i.check, kung meron ka ikarga sa likod, the cabliner wont get dmaged or dented, just the plasctic liner lang ang madmage, which is more cheaper and better kesa mag weld or body work sa cabliner kung madented.. and thats the cause or start ng rust... iv used my pikc up loading up reallty heavy stuuf like oil barrel, which weighs about 100kgs or more... and it gets dropped sometimes on teh bedliner but wala naman sira sa cabliner, no dents or damage... so for me, much better kung meron spray on bedliner plus the plastci bedliner on top...

Wow dami nyo na posts
alive na naman tayo.
Congrats to the new owners! Yung tungkol sa remote/keyless entry keychain na isa lang, I think that they provide 2 of those for the 4x4 variants of the LS. Isa lang for the 4x2 variant.
This is what my dealer told me when I got my unit 2 years ago.

Yup, it's quite intimidating at first, especially coming from a sedan, to drive a truck. Everything is different from it's height to it's ride. But give it 2 weeks and you'll feel that you're getting the hang of it and you'll soon prefer to drive it than a sedan.
For your query on the spray on bedliner, I haven't tried the plastic bedliner yet so I don't know how durable it is. All I know is based from my friends, they didn't recommend that to me. They told me that in time, water might penetrate in it and it will cause the bed to rust. I have always used spray on bedliner on my trucks and I could say that they are really durable. They might be more expensive, but it's worth it. Added to that, though I already have a spray on bedliner, I still put the rubberized padding (I don't know how to call it but in Banawe, I see men carrying those in rolls and they cost 450.) I put that for added protection so that when I put a thing that has sharp edge, it wouldn't scrape the liner.
Sir, could you please observe your rig if this also happens to you. Before at around 1300-1600 kms in my odometer, I noticed that my truck makes this sound from the engine. A quick but weird sound that has an echo. It sounds like this kkkrrrrrrrraaaaaaarrrrrrrrr (I'm sorry for the sound effects.hehe) I don't know how to mimic it but it's like that. Usually it's duration is about 2 seconds but the echo elongates it. I tried to have it checked in my dealer, but I don't know how to explain it and I don't have any idea where it's coming from and when it will make that sound. I went to Vigan last weekend and traveled like 900+ kms but it didn't sound and today while parking it, it made that sound(my odo reading now is almost 2300.) It's so odd. If this happens to you, could you please let me know. Thanks!

August 20th, 2008 05:48 PM #3996Sir, that happened in my Honda. The first time the check engine light lighted, I really didn't pay attention to it until such time I noticed that the handling of my car is becoming jerky to the point that it's so unforgiving. It feels like someone's kicking you from the back of your seat when it jerks. I brought it to the dealer and for the love of God, they said they saw a kitten!hahaha The weird thing is we don't have a cats. They thought that was the reason but they reset the computer and everything went perfect again. After 2 days, it lighted and I am back to square one. I brought it back to the dealer again and it stayed there for almost a week since they said that the problem is the RACV(I forgot what it meant but it's something about a valve) and they have to order it from their plant. From that point, it didn't light again.
Yes sir, the engine will not die but you'll feel that it loses power and as with me, my car jerks wildly. Try finding another dealership and have it checked coz for sure, that will get worst. I just based it from my experience.

August 20th, 2008 06:33 PM #3998Hopefully sir, we could become as active like the other forums so that those people who are still wishy washy when it comes to what pick up to choose will opt to get the dmax and experience how great this truck is.
For the key with remote, I am not sure with the 4x4 variant if they give more but even in the handbook, it says 2 keys only.

August 20th, 2008 07:15 PM #4000Usually sir, it happens at low speeds like while parking the car, coming from a speed bump or while running around 20 to 30 kph while stepping on the gas pedal. It's so loud but only happens once in a day. The thing is I couldn't predict when it will sound. Like today, it sounded when I already reached home and parking the car and to think last weekend it traveled more than 900 kms but it didn't even sound at least once.
How about 97 LXi?
