Ahh. Akala ko tuloy yung side mirror. You mean yung driver-side window? Kung iyon nga yung sinasabi mo, more or less normal lang yun.

    Hi to all!

We're planning to get a pre-owned Crosswind model 06-08 with A/T. Just hoping you could give me inputs on what to check on a prospective used Crosswind. Though I've been reading about the threads on 4JA1 engine and other threads as well regarding this model, I still need specific points to look at. We needed kasi a smaller car than our present 2007 Starex Van that we're selling. Bihira na kasi namin magamit yung Starex since we aquired a new H.City. We're such a small family of three that's why we don't be needing a big car (like the starex). Besides, madalas lang na kami ni misis ang sakay from home to office and back. Thanks in advance for your replies!

Sir, dapat i-check mo muna kung flooded yung unit. Kung pasado naman (which is flood free). Look for the specifics. Like the engine itself, exterior (kung may parts of rust na), susension, interior. Pero I suggest na wait for the other experts nalang din para mas accurate.

Parang downgrade from Starex to Crosswind in terms of space, ride comfort, and power.

The only saving grace of the Crosswind (vs the Starex) is fuel consumption and relatively cheap maintenance. We have these vehicles in our garage, by the way.

If you do the math, parang talo din. Mahal and resale value ng Crosswind and mababa ang resale value ng Starex. If you dispose one to acquire the other, you might be on the losing end. Additionally, Crosswind ATs are not fond to drive.

*sleepcare, thanks for the tips sir! Well noted!
*Gerbo, your thoughts also came into my mind...I also see it somewhat as a downgrade. You're right as to the riding comfort, power and interior space of the Starex against the Crosswind. We just needed the extra cash from the sale proceeds of the starex (if ever sold) and settle for a reliable with fairly good FC 7-seater suv or AUV, (Crosswind for this matter). I'm looking at the A/T crosswind variant for the reason that my wife don't know how to drive a stick-shift(M/T). I hope you don't mind me asking what's the downside of an A/T Crosswind? Really appreciate your reply!

    2. Sakaling sa dapitan city kami dadaan papuntang cebu, wala kayang problema sa security/safety ngayon sa daan especially between iligan city and mukas port kolambugan lanao del norte?

In advance marami pong salamat sa sagot ninyo.
brod, mapalayo ka nyan. why not take the usual route? davao to cdo, cdo to camiguin, camiguin to cebu..pinakamura at safe na byahe yan. mahal ang cdo to cebu. you can save around 50% of the cost on the route i suggested. davao to dapitan is very far. take into consideration also the ongoing road repair from davao to cdo. more than 600kms ang davao to dapitan brod. davao to balingoan via cdo is 365kms lang. check out in the net details on the schedule.

    3. Mga 4 nights, depende yan kng mag sight seeing pa sa mga magagandang lugar along the way like Agusan Marsh, Leyte Landing at San Juanico Bridge sa Tacloban, Mayon sa Albay, Tagaytay at stop over for picture taking pag my magagandang views.
I check ang sasakyan before travel.
IDs. During our travel, pati birth certificate ng mga bata nagdala kami, hehehe panigurado. By the way, last May this year lang kami nag travel, nakakapagod sayo as driver pero enjoy ang mga passenger. Happy motoring sir.

I am planning to have a tour by land travel with my family (wife and 2 sons) from Davao to Manila this coming December using my 2011 Sportivo Xmax automatic.

    Pero marami po akong tanong:
    3. Any tips po sa mga may experience na byahe sa ganitong layo in terms of road safety, security, etc.?
