There's no doubt about it. Just exercise patience in your hunt.
Masarap maghanap lalo na kung ready ang budget for it.
Also, bring a very good mechanic - na kikilatis mabuti.
I have a friend who brings his trusty mechanic every time he decides to buy a 2nd-hand vehicle.
Naalala ko kuwento nya: Bilin lagi nya sa mechanic nya is kilatisin mabuti at "pintasan lahat ng puwede nyang maipintas." This way, it gives my friend a good idea on what needs to be done pa sa vehicle and knowing such, how to haggle the last price for the vehicle.
Naalala ko yung mga hunt namin ni Mrs ko dati whenever we buy second-hand vehicles.
Suwerte naman at laging maayos ang nakukuha namin (papers and all). Siguro kasi, at the first instance of "duda" or "something is not right," we politely back away kahit gaano kaganda ang itsura ang labas ng sasakyan.
I also remember, once nakakuha na kami, we change all the fluids (brake, coolant, power-steering fluids).
And lahat ng sinabi (kung meroon man) ng mechanic ay ipapaayos namin. We also change all the tires to brand new (if the case warrants it). Then, go to a detailing shop. Kapag luma na tint or 4 years running na yung tint, we also change them to new ones. Then, pa-bless namin sa Antipolo and Manaoag, Pangasinan.
Good luck!
