go for osram, you can choose either their all-season or the nightbreaker. price ranges from 400-500 each. i have both of them - i use the all the all-season since june (start ng tag-ulan) then i already put back my nightbreaker (whiter than stock - but not as white as the useless superwhites) last week.
1. Yes
2. As far as i remember, oil change lang and filter lang. but kung di mabo-void ang warranty pwede na wag na. you can try at other casa branch. iba-iba rin kasi stroke nila eh.
3. M/T yung akin, i can't comment on this
4. based on the manual, even single grade mineral of 40 is recommended (IGMO is an example). a 15-40 multigrade will definitely make the 4ja-1 very happy.
test drive it, or pasama ka sa trusted mechanic, particularly sanay sa diesel. check for leaks, suspensions, steering, everything. price is reasonable provided walang hidden sakit ng ulo. M/T or A/T? i suggest look for m/t, if you're patient enough. mas may bilis siya at lesser maintenance.

I cant remember exactly the locations of the locks, medyo matagal ko na ginawa kasi yan, 4 or 5 years ago yata :D. basta yung screws holding the speedometer panel, tanggalin mo, puro di sikwat na lahat. kung nawawala yung sound, malamang nabunot or lumuluwag yung audio wire leading to the speakers, or as you pointed out, walang signal.
good luck pre.
Traffic along Commonwealth was awful this morning.
