guys, I just want to know kung ano purpose ng 3rd sa automatic transmission ng Alterra. I forgot to ask this sa Isuzu. Ito yung switch na may Power at 3RD. many thanks.

It means your shifting will be limited to the 3rd gear and will not access the 4th gear overdrive, thereby giving you full power on hill climbs when fully laden and when/or towing. its also advisable to use 3rd (1:1.00 gear ratio) power mode on city traffic since you cant go that fast (and access the 4the gear) especially considering manila traffic. Conversely on hi-way drive is the D mode where you will be able to use the 4th gear over drive (1:0.90 or lower) for fuel efficiency purposes.

Kaka-5k PMS ko lang about 2 saturdays ako eh samantalang nauna naman ako magka-unit syo. Mukhang masipag si Alterra mo ha.

Sabi ng kapitbahay namin na galing doon last month dala ung Grandia nila eh angsama daw ng kalsada sa Calbiga Samar. 40kms of sunken concrete pavement. yay, kinakabahan ako sa suspension ni SF.

oo nga sir nels 2 times ko na kasi byahe si alterra papunta dyan sa manila. hehehe! sabi din nga sir sakin nung friend ko nung pumunta sila sa baybay leyte medyo masama daw talaga yung dinaanan nila. mula manila hanggang matnog sir nels wala po kayo masyado problema sa dadaanan nyo. pag dating nyo nang leyte yan ang problema.

Try mo sa Zeibart... magaling yun dyan at reasonable pa ang price. Pero bago pa iyan so I suggest na sa kasa mo na lang ipagawa.

The Alterra rocks! Our family owns both a Fortuner and an Alterra and, althoughthere are some things i prefer about the Fortuner, the Alterra is a far roomier vehicle and space is what i need right now. Aside from the fact that it can totally rip sa skyway!!!! God bless to everyone!
