    About the Crosswind XUVi.
Smooth ang ride so front, pero matagtag :jump: sa middle & rear.
Can anyone suggest what to do to make the ride smoother?
Are there substitutes/alternatives to the factory suspension? Conversion kits?
    Salamat

pwede ba invert yung last leaf spring, same set-up as the latest strada, or sabi nila lagyan ng load ang likod (1 sack of sand) :-), i'm not sure if changing shocks will improve the ride, check din the tire pressure....

Hahaayyy... Ganda sana ang porma.. :jump:

yan din problm ko sa XUV for 4years now.. finally ive got it.. what i did was to replaced the shocks with Gas-A-just (it is a gas type shock absorber) both front and back... ngayon nagustohan ko na ride.. don't mess with the springs.. tama ang design nun, kaya ma feel nyu tagtag is because the rear axle is already touching the rubber stopper which is attached to the chasis, okey lang yun, that means, gumagana springs ninyo.. what you should do is 1. To lift the body by replacing the hanger or 2.Replace the shocks with gas-a-just type of shocks or both procedure.. (shocks - mabibili sa imus)...

Php880.00 lang yung pang harap, while Php900 plus ung pang lokod..

maganda na rin response ng unit ko even if i do sudden breaks, not like before na pag inangat ko pedal, parang mag engine break agad ag feeling..

ngayon, my family enjoys watching barney.. hehe...

    good luck guys.... - lakay_don

    lakay_don,

siguro pwede 30psi sa rear if the jump seats will not be used/occupied, kaya mataas psi ng rear is due to the anticipated load, pag may sakay sa 3rd row, then ibalik sa 36 psi

ha ha ha, mahirap talaga ang tuning ng leaf spring suspension. pero probably you could try swapping your l.springs with a lower (spring) rate.

Gawing mong 30psi front and back.

Merong mga nabibiling aftermarket leaf-springs..sabi less stiffer ang results.

Try ko nga ito Kiper. Matagtag nga ang 35 psi sa rear tires!

    Thanks.

Partner, I have an XUVi too. ISUZU recently introduced the FLEX RIDE SUSPENSION SYSTEM. This suspension system is now used by ALL Crosswind variants and the ISUZU D-Max. I opted to have my rear suspension changed by this. Palit leafs, shocks and some rubber dampener in between the chassis and leafs.

For long term (and guaranteed effect), go to your nearest ISUZU dealer and ask about this suspension system. If you want to "feel" how soft and comfortable the ride would be, test drive the 2005 Crosswind in an ISUZU dealer near you and you'd see the DIFFERENCE!!!!

How much will it cost you to install this flex ride suspension system? Would the ride be better than inverting the restraining leaf spring?

Partner, best way to determine which is better of both, test drive the new crosswind since you already have a basis on the inverted.

But from a lay man point of view, it is likely that the Flex Ride would perform better since you replace the leafs, shocks & dampener.

I have a friend from ISUZU. I will try to ask how much the whole rear suspension cost. But then again, it is most definite na mas mura ang magpa-invert ng leafs (as what you did).

Sinubukan ko na yung suggestion ni trup to invert the restraining leaf spring.
Hey, it works! And it might further improve daw kung papalitan din yung shocks.
Salamat po sa lahat ng nagpayo para makaiwas sa matagtag na republika!
Kobe, thanks for your info about the new Isuzu sus. I'll find time to check it out, but for a prototype I'm working on.
See you good people again in some other thread!

Your most welcome, DPROX. Just make sure you don't compromise your safety sa mga experiment mo.... safety item ang suspension.

X-wind, I hate to break the party but I beg to disagree na PAREHO lang ride ng old and minor change crosswind. I test drove both for 2 hours on the same road condition, malaki talaga difference! You must try driving both vehicles long enough to really see the difference.... on the same road conditions.
