2 door trooper

Hi I just acquired a 2 door trooper from Cebu last friday. How do I know if its the big horn model? The engine is 4JG2 and it has equipped with an intercooler. What year did this come out?

How much will it cost to install a dashboard from the newer model of trooper's? yung lahat lahat na including the switches, gauges etc..

I just found out I got a 1992 big horn trooper. Can anybody share with me some tidbits about this truck? is this a good truck? Is this what they call the 1st gen trooper?

i own a Local version 1997 Isuzu Trooper
CBU from japan, i'd say it one of bext 4x4 i.ve driven.

to be exact on what year you have. check the VIN tapos search mo topic na may VIN explanation dito sa isuzu forum.

did you know that your trooper and the vehicross share the same platform.

where can I find the VIN?
actually im quite happy with it so far, except for the loud engine noise its a good vehicle. I bought it in replacement of my lancer 1997 because I go to Anilao every weekend and needed a good truck that could haul gear and drive thru some rough road.

jai, there is so much data posted already on this board regarding your rig. What yo can do is do a search for "big horn" or "Trooper". Use to own a 5 door unit which is a LWB or Long Wheel Base, yours is SWB or Short Wheel Base. ENjoy!

Is there shop / person in manila who specializes in converted troopers? I have 2 problems with the trooper although minor only, that needs to be address.

1. A warm air emits from the foot area when I reach around 2,000 rpm and a light smell of exhaust smoke is noted.

2. The thermostat on the climate control is not functioning properly. Its keeps turnng off the compressor even if the air from the fan is warm.

Problem #1: May butas yan na hindi natakpan ng mabuti.

#2: Dalhin mo kay Joseph sa MultiNational. 15K binayad ko for a complete overhaul ng A/C. Complete pati wirings.

Can you give me the exact address and contact number of Multinational? How long did it take them to do the overhaul and wiring? Did your trooper come with the electronic climate control thing too?

I got it for P350T plus shipping cost. Mga sir would anyone of you have the aircon control panel na hindi digital or would you know saan ako pwede bumili. The electronic climate control although very nice to look at is a big headache to fix.

Would anyone know how much a brand new dash board with all instruments, panels, hoses compartments in Isuzu is?

naka electronic controls ka ba? kung ok pa naman stick with it first. Yung analog na controls mahirap hanapin dito. Marami sa U.S.

Dashboard: yung shell lang is already 40K here. Yung '95 model-up meron sa Malolos before na nagpaparating 30K. Meron ng vents but walang ductings, etc. Walco meron.

If you want the whole 9 yards, sa U.S madami including everything mga USD400 lang BUT shipping will cost you 40K. So 50-60K would be enough to do the whole thing. Kasama dun A/C system nga pala. 2 modes of shipping I consulted, yung consolidator and JOhnny Air. Pareho lang basically. Kung gagawin mo ito, pack in everything that you want to buy incl. gear box, steering column, etc para sulit.

Advise ko lang ito. Have it done by JosephA. jaa2bo. Kung nasa Cebu ka baka magbabakasyon sa siya dun, ipa-roro mo siya para dala lahat ng tools. (he!he!) YUng ginawa niya for me is a good, cheaper option that you can consider.

Yup I have the electronic control and its no longer working properly.
Walco has a complete set of the dashboard and everything? Would you know how much they sell it for?

walco was selling the dash for 40K last time but it was only I think 7-8 pcs. so basically yung dash lang yun. walang vents, ducts, etc. mahirap ka nga pala coz wala ka sa Manila coz maganda pa-check mo kay Joseph. (wala akong komisyon dun, he!he!). As I said if you want to get the whole thing better buy sa U.S. Problem kasi if you invest 40K sa dash tapos hindi naman maayos yung A/C parang sayang. Aesthetic lang napaganda. Give me your email and I will send you complete parts details nung dash and the a/c system. Yung akin nga pala before(hu!hu!) gumana pati yung a/c ducts sa baba for the 2nd seats. Ginawan ng ducts ni JOseph. Tapos yung adaptors receiving the ducts from the A/C he fabricated it so nahuhugot yung flexible duct. Hindi naka-tape. Fiberglass ginamit niya. Hoy Joseph, komisyon ko ha!
