oo yung 2.8 pajero exceed mas mahal kaysa bighorn kasi yung tinitignan ko all orig ang lhd steering mahal ng 100K sa lotus ko kaya bighorn ang nakuha ko pero blessing en disguise kasi mas ok pala ang bighorn lotus malakas ang makina at in na in ngaun ang daming trooper ngaun.
Just change tyres. Finally had the money to do it. Ang mahal kasi and it's my 1st time to buy SUV tyres. Ended up with Pirelli Scorpions AT. Php 5,300 each sa NH Miller sa West Ave, 275/70R16. Was supposed to get BFG but too much hassle. Php 5,700 sa Ryco yung BFG but no mounting,no balancing, pick up and 245 lang yun. Yup its the best tyre out there coz 3 plies yung sidewalls but for my use(very occasional "real"off road) the Scorpions are more than enough. 6 plies sa top, 2 plies sa sides. Was also suppose to get Yokohama Geolander * Php 4,800 but 1 year warranty lang (Pirelli * 4 years) and 4 plies lang on top. (walang nylon). I'm satisfied with the ride (30 psi). Extra gastos coz pina-press ko all mags (2K). What's with this procedure? Sumama sa otso-otso yung rims ko. Diretso sa alignment, camber (toe in/toe out). Php 1,040 coz alignment lang and front right in-adjust for camber. I have the specs for all of these so I was able to counter check what they were doing sa Servitek(TireHaus, West Ave.) I will post the specs early next week. Reason why I'm preparing the car is because I have plans to go to Capiz via RoRo(Roll On/Roll Off). Pag natuloy I will catalog and post the experience. Thanks!
forgot to mention the 03 trooper skyroof edition mags inlude the tires also. they are size 245/70x16. if you have the imported trooper/bighorn i beleive these will fit w/out problems.

Would like to know how they determined that the mags needed "pressing"? I was told, when i had my tires balanced, that the mags may be out-of-round and would eat a lot of weights. They suggested to have the mags pressed first to reduce the amount of lead weights in balancing. Does this really work?
Are alignment specs the same for UBS69 and 73 models? (Actually, the 2 wheel drive trooper is called UBR73)
jackaroo: they mounted all rims and rotated it. Kitang kita yung otso-otso(wiggle) and the values being indicated sa balancing machine sobrang taas so malaki sobra hahabulin. This is the reason why they suggested to have it pressed. I had it pressed and after that konting konti lang yung hinabol sa weights(tingga).
It worked. Question now is tatagal ba? I'll have it balanced again in 6 months to check.
Alignment specs I'm not very sure but hindi naman nagiba yung chassis and suspension di ba? Anyway they have naman the specs sa Servitek. I guess even for UBR73 coz madami na rin akong nakita na ina-align same as your unit Maganda lang kasi kung alam mo rin yung specs para sure ka hindi ka niloloko di ba?HTH!!

san ba nakikita yung ubs na code, di ko kse alam kung ubs 69 yung sakin. does this mean na inter-changeable ang body ny present trooper ubs73 sa older ubs 69? like bumpers and others?
UBS is for the 4x4 models UBR for the 4x2. As you can see basta may S - 4x4 at R -4x2. Tingnan nyo chassis #. Compare nyo rin sa ibang models ng Isuzu. Oo ang alam ko UBS69 and 73 have interchangeable body parts. Pareho bumpers, tail lights, headlight, side mirror. Ang nakikita ko lang na difference ng UBS69 and UBS73 ay yung engine nila.

UBS73 came out in '99 and '00, first as manual trans then auto trans. Both with 3.0TD, 4JX1 engines.
OK. MANUAL WITH 4JX1 WOULD BE NICE HOW MUCH GOING RATE NANG 2ND HAND TODAY? ANY IDEA?
Originally posted by jackaroo Thanks for info. Have you tried any other shop for mags "pressing"? What do they actually do to the mags to make them round again?
SA WEST AVE MARAMI. NOPE COZ FIRST TIME KO GINAWA. YUNG SA AKIN DINALA RIN NILA SA ISANG REPAIR SHOP I DUNNO WHERE. SABI NUNG NAG BALANCE COLD PRESS DAW YUN. I CANT IMAGINE HOW IT'S DONE. PWEDE SIGURO COZ ALUMINUM ALLOY NAMAN ANG MGA RIMS. SORRY NO FURTHER INFO ON THIS PROCEDURE FOR THE MOMENT.
