sige nga post mo dito yung post ng mga pro-mux forumer about fuel comparison ng MU-X at Montero kasi kung di mo kayang i-post dito sigurado ako naghahanap ka lang ng makakaaway di ba magiting na SA ng Mitsu?

This only proves that what the MU X can do sa fuel efficiency reading is misleading. This can be achieved also by other brands. I have no qualms over sa MU X if they say they can beat the other competitors sa FC, but I still believe that engine technology is just a minor factor for fuel efficiency. Major factor pa rin ang driving habits, road conditions, vehicle weight, engine displacement and other factors.

I will just further say that don't be coyed by their Fuel Efficiency rating just to buy MUX. If you feel that you want to buy MUX dahil yun ang nasa sa puso mo then do so and also if you are a fan of Isuzu. For the others, it's better to read further sa ibang site for the review of your choice of SUV, pag aralan mabuti. yun lang.

hehe, like i said, i made a mistake, it's not instantenous, it's average on the MS GLS V. It's the big reason why i wanted to have the MU X but apparently their site: ISUZU: mu-X, is misleading. I have talked to their marketing people at Isuzu Phils and they did post those Fuel Efficiency rating based on running at NLEX to SCTEX all the way to TPLEX. Sir Niky is correct about other factors and the beauty of the MU X not found in other brands. But like I said, the fuel efficiency thing in MU X should not be a driving factor to entice other buyers to get the MU X. Of course its a marketing strategy but I am voicing my opinion to those not yet sure to get MU X.

If you really want to get an MU X for the sake of Fuel Efficiency, it's up to you, but if not, try to go to other brands that you might like.

I just hate SAs in Isuzu telling me lies that all are priority with priority number in making reservation but apparently they are not doing it. Talk about getting their Sales up for this year. hehe. No offense meant for the others. Just voicing opinions. hehe.

I personally feel that Isuzu's fuel efficiency is a bit overrated.

I bought Alterra back in 2010 because I have been reading how it can attain 18 km / L city driving. I never came close to this. The best I got was 14 km / L and this was purely driving in a long stretch of SCTEX. In terms of pure city driving, the best I could attain (monthly average) is 9 km / L, and this was already with racechip installed. Without racechip, it was around 8.2 km / L.

In contrast, I also have 2012 Hyundai Tucson that can easily attain 18 km / L on pure highway driving and if city driving, very close to 10 km / L.

There are so many factors to consider from your statement.

    -manual or auto transmission?
    -traffic conditions...
    -speed...

To be fair, the Tucson has a better FC rating from Hyundai compared to Alterra's.

Its a 2 liter crdi against 3.0 alterra. And the body dimension and weight is much lighter.

Both of my Alterra and Tucson are 4WD though I never used it as 4WD. And I take the same route (work to office) using both cars. My comment covers several months of observation. The Tucson consistently beats the Alterra, on both city and highway driving.

With a 2.0 engine and a unibody, the tucson should be ble to beat the alterra in fc. Its shameful if it doesn't. Also had a tucson revgt and yes its engine was a gem but the rest of the car was not.

Meron po bang other SUV brand na nag read ng accurate fuel consumption? as far as I know the FC we see at the dashboard is just for reference only, and the more accurate one is the FT-FT system thru manual calculation.
