gen2 1.9 Rz4E is crazy good. isuzu has probably tuned the 6sp aisin to perfection.

i wonder if it will pass ancap safety tests.

I don't think it will get the maximum rating as it loses out AEB, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, etc. So far Isuzu AU offers blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert as option for the current DMAX.

They were probably test units for different climates and road conditions sir hehe, I think NCAP centers use production models already, hopefully nga they do get the whole suite of safety feats with help from Mazda. Hard requirement na kasi sila to get the max 5 stars.

Power and outputs are the same. Internals were changed. A smaller torque converter is used to improve response or was it acceleration. I forget.

during my february vacay, i got a crosswind for grab.. it was so shaky inside it makes all mitsu adventure(diesel) like a gas engine.

the driver was very good though, his shifts were not noticeable. kudos grab driver.

even back november last year i drove my uncle's 2004 crosswind xl. Isuzu has it's unique loudness on the engine when i compared to adventure diesel and revo diesel around the memorial park at that time. Kahit bluepower mu-x 3.0 (rz4e seems a bit quieter than 3.0) mas louder yung boses niya compared sa fortuner (2nd gen).

the new version 1.9 is said to be quieter again though...

yes you're right bro.. because the rz4e is a newer engine design than the 3.0 that dates way back to the 80s-90s maybe.
