I completely agree. Looking at the other sample pics got me thinking though. I prefer not having anything in the way when I want to access the aircon vents or hazard lights button (directly above the CD slot), so opted for the dash-mounted holder.

Nice setups BTW, jut703 and cast_no_shadow.

That's true bro, it'll really depend on the layout of your car's center console. In my case, with my small iPhone, it doesn't block anything since it's right in the middle of the AC vents and radio. With my bigger Samsung, it blocks the digital clock in between the AC vents, but that's ok as the phone has a clock as well.

Another concern with a dash-mount is the adhesive messing up my dashboard. Have you checked if yours has left a permanent stain?

    Actually a funny/weird story:

Wife was using those very sticky gel patch hair removers in the car. Was dropped on the dash and left a considerable stain. Thought it was a lost cause. Attended to it again a week later after googling. With some mineral oil soaking and gentle scrubbing, it went away :bounceD: So not really that much concerned about them stains. Comes with the territory, I suppose.

One of the main reasons why I opted for an ugly suction cup mount stuck to the windshield instead. Maliit lang ang adhesive ng magnetic mounts pero it will stay on the dash forever or cause stains when removed and di ko kaya gawin sa oto yan. At least pag may suction cup stains sa tint relatively mura lang magpalit ng tint.

CD-slot mounts are the best solution IMO. No damage to anything, no hideous looks. [emoji4]

kung di mo kailangan ng swivel feature bro eto pwede na.. though i doubt that you can maximize swivel feature din since sa ac vent mo sya ilalagay.

    eto from wizgear

i'm using a mountek ngroove grip cd slot car mount on our fd. it's been great and i want to use another one this time for our monty naman. the problem is the ngroove grip variant isn't a fit w/ the monty's interiors since the head unit is relatively positioned deeper than the other usual oem head units

so my question is, is the mountek snap + magnetic cd car slot useable in the monty '12 dashboard layout? is anyone here using one in the previous generation montero sport?

btw, there's already a mountek air snap wherein the mount is positioned and clamped on the a/c vents. the problem is it's only available in the usa at the moment. its worldwide release was scheduled a few days back so i doubt if it's already available in the country and i'm not sure if it'll work on the monty's a/c vents although it's supposedly universal though

using a mountek too, but tinanggal ko muna.
mahina dikit nung bakal sa mismong mount dahil nasa likod ng casing.
    gawan ko muna paraan.

i also use a mountek cd slot pero clip type yung sa phone hindi magnet. would like to try the magnet type kaya lang ang takot ko baka hindi ganun kalakas yung magnet at baka matanggal yung phone habang nagddrive ako.

matagtag pa naman sasakyan ko. yung mga naka-magnet type, kaya ba niya yung note4 + otterbox casing?
