June 11th, 2010 01:06 PM #1masyado yata mabilis yung 5k odometer reading or 3 months na required ng hari sa service passport for pms. yung sa owner's manual, even if you drive under severe usage conditions (like extensive idling or frequently driving in stop and go conditions) change oil and filter is required only every 7.5k/6months for gas engines or 5k/6months for diesel engines.
i don't reach 5k in 3 months, pwede siguro in 6 months.

June 11th, 2010 01:19 PM #3Even oil top-up and oil filter change is not recommended every 5k or 3 months as per the manufacturer's manual. Parang Honda na rin.
Maybe HARI should adopt the manufacturer's manual and reprint their service passports.
Paki check din sa Tucson 2010 manual.

Well wala tayo magagawa. kung ayaw mo sumunod, wag mo sundin. Policy nila yan.

Follow the service passport kasi localized yun while the manual is global meaning also for foreign consumption. Ang Santa Fe natin world class yan kaya yung manual pang 1st world din... Normally mas mahaba interval nila kasi marami silang highway driving unlike satin puro traffic. Pero like SG I also follow 5000km and not 3 months!

Sundin mo nalang ... policy nila yun e'.
Kung ayaw mo, use your own method. Sacrifice mo warranty mo.
And besides, yung number of kilometer intervals ang dapat sundin mo.

June 11th, 2010 02:21 PM #76 months ang sinusunod ko pero since i use my sta fe alternately with my crv per week, ginawang kong 8 months ang pa-service ko sa casa. been doing that since 2 pmses ago, oks naman.
ngaun, more than a month ko hindi nagamit kasi nasa US ako, 9 months na . so Jan ako last nagpaservice, sa September na ako magpapaservice.
btw, 6 months ko is average of 2,000km lang. tapos naka-condo pa ako, i travel only 15-18km a day.
kaya nga bagung-bago pa ang SF ko eh, imagine since aug 2006, ang odo ko is only 23Tkm.
eh ngaun plano ko pa bumili ng entry-level Sorento crdi as a gift to my dad, pero gagamitin ko din. so baka kada isang taon na service ko ng Sta Fe ko.
bakit ako bibili ng sorento eh di hamak na mas maganda ang SF ko? i need 3M pesos eh to get myself a house in vegas. pag binigyan ko dad ko ng sorento na obviously pang 40 to 50 yrs old na driver, lalambut ulit ang puso nya sa'kin kasi ako ang mabait na anak sa pamilya. baka ibili nya ako ng bahay sa vegas. sino ba naman ang selfless generous na anak ngaun ang hindi man lang bumili sa kanyang ama ng tsikot para naman makaganti sa lahat ng tinulong sa pagpapalaki sayo.Last edited by Gen.
