Have any of you noticed that the maintenance intervals in the Service Passport is so different from what it says in the manual? For the Accent HB, it clearly states that change oil and filter has to be done every 5000km or 6 months. However, the Service Passport requires you to do in every 3 months.

I asked an SA about it last Saturday. At first he gave me a blank stair. I assume it was because there were other people having their cars serviced. Then he told me, "ok lang yan ser, hindi naman sila strict dyan". I didn't want a long argument so I let it go.

I understand that they arent strict with that BUT when it comes time to claim warranty, they will definitely take it against you. DTI kababagsakan nyan Im sure.

Yes ... given that you have to do that for FIVE YEARS, that is a big chunk of money. PLUS their parts and service aren't exactly cheap nor low if you compare it to third party auto service shops.

Since nandyan na yan, pa PMS ka lang sa kanila up until 5k or 10k then take the guts on your own lalo na kung hindi ka umuubos ng 10k-km each year.

yes, like na like nila ang pera mo. sad to say ikaw ay isang "victim" ng kanilang 5 year warranty. at sobrang mahal ang consummable parts nila like oil filter and air filter. at kahit sabi sa manual e inspect lang sa kanila palit lang ng palit para benta ng benta. bayad ka ng bayad, at payaman sila ng payaman. buwaya e. and you are just one of those who was enticed to fall into the crocodile river.

Well i think depende sa Casa, my agreement with my Casa is the 5k rule, kahit umabot pa ng 7 or more months. Basta every 5k ako mag papa service. I even asked them kung pwede sumobra, Oks lang daw as long as hindi exxagerated like 8k.. Acceptable to them until 6.5k

Yup, other casa can say yes, no problem, may tolerance.

Yung claim ko nman sa isang casa, "wait lang sir pagdating ng batch, no need for you to follow up, we will contact you". Ayun magpo-four months na wala pa rin. But, 3x pa rin akong nagfollow up, same respond "wala pa sir". (tsk, tsk, tsk no development, no improvement.)

Any idea ko anung oil gamit nila for PMS? Just had a change oil sa shell, semi- synthetic pinagamit ko, 5W-40. mejo namamahalan nako sa 10k PMS nila and yun nga halos every 3 mos. even if you tell them na wala ka pa sa 10k pero 3 mos na, sasabihin nila gamitin ng gamitin yung kotse kahit pa ikot ikot lang daw sa subdivision para umabot sa 10k. ang nakaka-tawa don, seryoso sila nung sinabi nila yon.
