What's a COE, bro ? Parang ano ba yan, certain permit that limits a person in owning a vehicle to a certain number that is issued by the government ?
And ang alam ko, sa Singapore ... may certain limits lang sila ng years. Kapag na-reach na nung car yung year na yun, like, it's 5th year ... phased out na sila and may pinagdadalhan na " disposal area " or whatever ...
cmiiw.

Back when the exchange rates were Php 5x.xx= $1,
the prices of vehicles (with all the currency conversion done) is actually:
American prices for vehicle - 1x
Philippine prices for vehicle - 2x (bec. of our taxes)
Singapore prices for vehicle - 4x (This is based on the sticker price and not sure if the COE is included-probably not).
I did some price comparisons back in 2005. Obviously this is not precise, but I believe it paints an accurate picture.
Somewhat expected from a rushed car from a first time carmaker
