Warranty extensions are not retroactive meaning you can avail of it at the time of purchase only....i think?!?

Somebody already mentioned, if you are going to log 100,000 KM within the next 3 years then useless yung warranty extension ny Hyundai since di mo na rin magamit sa 4th year.

Hello po sir Denzio.... Pwede po ninyo avail ang extended warranty as long as you bought it the last quarter of 2004 to the present and as long as you pay the additional cost po...

i would just like to ask this question: how would the 5 year warranty affect the resale value?

It'd probably fetch higher resale being under warranty.

resale value drops down after 5 years instead of the usual 3 years of other models

Just reviving this thread so pardon me...

While 5 year is great, I always wondered that could this also be a self service for Hyundai? Think about it. While its true that giving an extra 2 years shows confidence but then again most cars last that long without major problems anyway... But all the people I know never have their maintenance with the authorized CASA once the warranty expires, they just have their maintenance on gas stations or smaller workshops. So in essence with the extra 2 years Hyundai is hitting 2 birds by boosting buyer confidence and by having another 2 years of extra PMS revenue...

Yan din naisip ko dati pa.
While this is a gimmick to attract Buyers, this is beneficial to Hyundai on the Flipside since you will be forced to have your PMS in the Casa longer than 3 years due to the extended warranty.

Wala pang ibang nakaka-realize nito sa mga Jap Brands.

Just imagine the 10 years warranty they offer in US. Sureball na servicing business nila. I guess di sirain ang kotse dun since maganda ang kalsada nila.

I just hope they keep good quality service... para sulit yung pa-service under warranty.
