February 17th, 2010 09:05 AM #2512My dad wants to get something to replace his Innova. Siyempre, dahil pakialamero akong anak, nakikipili din ako what he should get. All eyes set for Montero sana pero mahal din kasi. We're considering to get a Tucson too. Ok ba ang trade in ng Innova to Tucson sa casa?

February 17th, 2010 04:45 PM #2514Hi Guys! Just got my Gray GLS last night and I noticed as I was pulling into our garage as soon as i turned the steering wheel fully to the right a loud noise started emanating from the bottom of the car. Then again this morning as I was backing out of the garage and turning into the street, the very same thing happened. Anyone having the same problem?

My dad has the same thoughts. Montero or Tucson.
I guess it's a question of what things you need talaga from the vehicle.
1) Tucson can seat 7. Not that comfortable pero it could. The Tucson will accommodate 5 to 6.
2) The ride will probably be better on the Tucson as it is smaller and won't be as prone to the freeway hop that the chasis of the Montero has.
3) The Montero though will have the diesel AT version only at 1.3M. Cheaper by far sa diesel ng Tucson.
4) The Tucson is a head turner right now, the Montero has already passed that stage.
Jot the points down and you might be clear on which to pick.
In my case, my dad picked the Tucson. Pero since pakialamero din akong anak,I am steering him away kasi ayoko naman pareho kami. I have asked him to wait for the new Sportage or maybe the Mitsu RVR. Hehe

February 22nd, 2010 11:57 AM #2518Hi everyone -
Just wanted to share my experience in trying to acquire a Tucson. Everything is clean na sa bank, approved, etc. Unit na lang talgaa inaantay. PO has been faxed to dealership, they "said" that a unit was available but they would only release it to me if I would get in house financing and pay an additional premium (bayaran na mga LTO, insurance, etc). Unit would only be released to customers who were willing to abide to their terms. I do understand the position that the Tucson is the "in" automobile but this is just wrong. It's kinda sad how they don't see the impact of this in the long term. Loss in customer sales, more people knowing the brand, etc... I don't know where this will go but I hope Hyundai gets to manage things better, demand and all.
So sad.
Sorry for venting out... Off to the next dealership or even next brand
