777,
Tama pinili mong 50 series. Kung 55 series ang kinuha talagang lalaki ang difference sa speedo mo.

I have this weird fuel consumption experience with my Getz. During the past two months, I only used my Getz for city driving. I noticed that my fuel consumption dropped from 13.5km/liter to 8.5km/liter! I brought it to the casa to have it checked and they haven't found any problems with it. This weekend, I've decided to bring it to the province and ran it at an average speed of 110 kph at NLEX but sometimes I speed it up to 140kph.
After logging in about 373kms, I filled up my gas and to my surprise, my fuel consumption improved to 14km/liter! Has any of you guys experienced this unusual fuel consumption?
the drop from 13.5 to 8.5 without any known reason is very unusual, but more unusual e un walang nakitang problema sa ride (they've not even recommend your car to get tuned up). if you've been driving the same way (same weight/ AC set up/ rpm) on both of those times, dapat nga magtaka ka kung bakit bumaba ng husto un km/liter mo.Originally Posted by ET1
for the 14 km/l on highway driving, I've experienced na ganun din ang nangyari sa ride ko (vios nga lang). kapag ordinary driving lang ako ave 80-100 kph, best mileage ko is 14 km/l, nung punta ko north via NLEX (same speed as yours more or less) I got 17 km/l. pero still, stick ako sa 80-100 kph, 14km/l is already decent, masasave ko pa ang engine ko.
its not unusual sa mga brandnew cars, usual lang na 1st 1K km na malakas ang consumption ng sasakyan after pag fully used na yung engine talagang nag de-decrese na yung consumption i think kasi bago mga parts nde pa nde pa smooth yung mga galaw ng mga mechnical parts.
based kasi sa mga reviews kong nakita ganun mga sinasabi ng mga dealer nila, even sa bnew motorcycle ganun din ang nangyayari.

yup it's true na gaganda talaga un gas consumption once nakabwelo na ng konti un car and in my experience nangyari yan nung nakalagpas na ko ng 5thou km, although some are saying that mas magiging ok pa daw kapag na ka 10thou km.
Well for your fuel consumption, consider the speeds you were driving at, 110-140kph is not going to be fuel efficient, city driving would also have greatly affected the mileage compared to highway driving. You get the most mileage at about 60-100kph.
ET1,
I have lately experienced a low of 9.35km/liter, which includes at least a couple times of idling (in a parking space with AC on) for around 20+ minutes each.
This was the biggest fluctuation I had, considering that my prior measurement was at 15.8. It might be the long periods idling. May times kasi na gusto ng wife ko magpaiwan na lang sa kotse with our baby, kaya may mga mahahabang idling situations.. sayang ang gas, but it's the price we have to pay for the comfort that they want..![]()
Dun nga ako nagtataka. I experienced this kind of fuel consumption even after I had my 1,000 km check-up. The guys in the casa checked the engine using their Hi-scan and they found no problem. The only remedy they did was they re-gapped the spark plugs. I'm not sure how they did it or how much was the adjustment.
Is it possible that there may have been some carbon build up into the fuel injectors and these carbon deposits may have been removed when I ran the car at NLEX? The service advisor admitted that they haven't checked if the fuel flow in the fuel injectors were within the normal operating parameters.
Btw during those two months of city driving, ang route ko lang is Boni Ave to Makati lang.
guys ano dapat ang air pressure sa tyres ng getz natin? mine is getz 1.3 stock rims and tyres.. salamat in advance

Ang alam ko nakalagay yung recommended tire pressure sa may door sill, driver's side. Ang alam ko (correct me if I'm wrong), the recommended tire pressure is 30psi (cold) if the car only carries two passengers and 33 psi kung apat naman.
Good PM, Getz owners,
Makitanong lang po. Meron bang ACU air cleaner ang Getz? Tingin ko meron and it is located on the same part of the car as the Picanto's: behind the glove compartment. Reason I'm asking is: baka meron stock ng ACU air cleaner ang dealers ng Getz doon nalang ako kukuha kung pareho lang ang sukat kasi wala pang stock sa Kia dealers nung particular ACU air cleaner.
Here's a scan of the said ACU air cleaner with approximate dimensions. Notice that the brand of the filter is Hyundai, not Kia, hehehe.![]()
Thanks and Happy Motoring!
I haven't checked my manual kung merong particulate filter yung Getz ko. Check ko mamaya. Though I think na it is unlikely na may available spare parts na sila. Based on my experience of which they replaced a defective part sa car ko, it took a while bago nila napalitan dahil wala silang stock.Originally Posted by CtrlAltDel
hi guys,
Im probably the latest addition to the growing list of getz owners, after browsing this thread i noticed that hyundai guadalupe EDSA is not that popular compared to makati and quezon ave. Has anybody purchased a getz from this dealer. Sa kanila kasi ako nagpa quote and kukuha ng getz 1.3 LOW, may problem ba sa kanila...enlighten me please and thanks in advance.![]()
Pre, thanks for the info. Baka sa Banaue meron. Will go there pag hindi ako tinamad, hehe.Originally Posted by ET1
