February 13th, 2008 11:40 PM #36AFAIK, the diesel engine may have a slightly higher consumption or the same consumption (in km per liter) as its gasoline counterpart. What makes the diesel engine economical is its running cost (in km per peso) since diesel is a lot more cheaper than gasoline.
You obviously have not been reading any European car magazines or websites...
