Yung sakin Dec. 2013 acquired. Mag 65,000 kms na. Average FC over a full tank ay 17.5 kms/lit. Pag urban drives, maybe 15/lit. Highway at 100 kms/hr almost 25/ liter. Extra urban around 19/lit. No major problems. Wala pang kalampag. Doors still close with a thud. I use Total Excellium diesel.
Yung samin Dec. 2014 nabili, AT. Ave. FC sa mixed City/Hi-way is 12.5kmpl. Nung nag-punta kami sa Tarlac with 4 passengers and ave. Speed of 120kmph sa highway, umabot ng 17.5kmpl. Unioil ako before then Caltex then Seaoil then V Nitro Diesel na for 2 months na. No other issues. Good as new sya ngayon
We have 2 hyundai accent Crdi's-
- a hatchback 2013 model bought June 2014 ( i really look for the 2013 model since it has better features than 2014) with 25k on the odo.
- a 2015 sedan bought last March with 10k odometer reading.
Before we got the hatch, we had 2009 getz crdi whick was later bought by a car tuner in Baguio City.
Average of 22km/liter on highway and around 15kms/liter on city, 95% with only one passenger. Lahat kami ayaw magsasakay ng 3 or 4 sa sasakyan 😈
No issues so far. Daily drive pareho.
I see. I thought it has something to do with the suspension thing when carrying more passengers
I carry a lot of heavy stuff in my trunk & sometimes have my wife, a big boy & a 7 year old girl as passengers in addition to the stuff I carry. Does not seem to bottom out. It is not wanting on power too with the excess cargo. I think the issue with the soft suspension was in the early model sedan.
Caring for the turbo is actually straight forward.
Before you drive in the morning, let the engine idle for 10 to 20 seconds before driving off. Do not race the engine after starting up.
Before you switch off, let the engine cool down for a minute or 2 to let the turbo spool down and allow the oil to cool. Never race the engine prior to turning off.
And most importantly, never skip oil changes. As much as possible, use fully synthetic oil. The engine oil is the only thing that keeps your turbo alive.
If you want more information, the manual actually contains detailed information too.
have fun with your new accent!
Tama si bloowolf. And isa pa pala every 10k kms palit ka air filter. Yung turbo mo kasi sucks in air that passes through the air filter. Pag napabayaan yan, or pag low quality filter nagamit, its possible na me mga debris na mapunta sa turbo and ruin it.
based on our experienced.... on all kinds of turbo.... never rev. or step on the gas pedal immediately before turning off your engine, regular change oil and never over rev.....
