November 21st, 2012 07:25 PM #202Planning to buy a Grey Market Grand Starex - My question -
Is it better to buy from Pitstop/Hancars/Standout?
Or other cheaper Grey Market importers but without the 5 year warranty. Savings of over 100k

December 8th, 2012 06:25 PM #204Hi sir! Medyo same thing happened to me pero sa akin phone inquiry lang. Parang tinatamad yung sales nag entertain so hinanap ko si sir Webson dahil sabi sa mga forums mabilis daw siya kausap. Yun pala si webson na yung kausap ko hah. I also went to Pitstop and talked to RJ and hinihintay ko na lang yung final discount and I'll probably be getting my GS next week. Sayang naman, I really really really like the 2013 grille!

February 25th, 2013 09:11 AM #205hi starex owners,
can you recommend HARI dealer (metro manila, preferrably near QC) to get TCI? sa mga na-research ko dito sa tsikot, i will most likely pre-terminate my warranty. siguro one-year lang ako just to make sure di lemo makuha ko. will do my own maintenance instead of spending crazy over regular change oil + reported frustrations over warranty.
btw, how true and attractive is Quezon Ave's P20k-value maintenance consummable (or whatever they call it)?

You may try Quezon Ave branch...Okay naman sila pero i have to transfer to marcos hway kasi mas malapit samin and pwede magdala ng oil, parts, etc...okay din daw yung sa may edsa...Central ata yun...yung kahelera ng mga expensive auto brands...
What variant for tci are you planning to get?

If you're trying to sell something, you have to have an enthusiastic attitude para ganahan bumili yung potential buyers mo.

Yup, pero for the oil, i opted to bring my oil na okay rating na mura (ZIC) so ang ending, nakatipid ako ng few hundred bucks at nagamit ko gusto kong oil...
Kagabi, bumisita yung friend namin who owns an estate and GS...hindi nga daw nababa ng todo yung seats ni estate...yung gs, for a 12 seater, medyo masikip compared sa old model na 12 seater/jumbo starex namin...Pero panalo yung dual sliding doors...

Yes, that's Hyundai Central Edsa. Coming from the north, start watching out for the car dealerships on the right after you pass Annapolis street. Once you see Chrysler and Mercedes (CATS), you will see Hyundai Central Edsa.
No, despite the P500/part supposed corkage (at least that's what was quoted to me mid last year at my 10t km service), it'll still come out cheaper if you bring your own parts and have Central Edsa install them for you. They did not quote nor charge me for my own (Zic) oil, though they asked what I was bringing. I do not know the procedure now though, since I did not go back for my 15t km service.
How much is the corkage for the oil? Hyundai Greenhills was charging me something like P600/liter corkage alone. Jeez!
in my opinion only, i think ground clearance is for rocks and stuff, where half an inch (13 mm)...
