sir if you don't mind me asking, where did you purchase your drl? and how much?
im planning to get one, pag ipunan ko kung wala sa budget. also who do you recommend mag install here in manila, pref pasig kung meron.

I got mine from Aldrich kasi (fellow Sonata member). We did a group buy before to save up on costs but I believe it's the same DRL that SharkRacing has (Shark Racing). I think any conventional shop that's good in electricals is good. It isn't that hard to install naman. We had ours installed at Maspro, Banawe.

Attention fellow Sonata owners,

What: EB
When: July 20, 2013, 6:00PM onwards
Where: Eton, Centris (restaurant - to be announced)

We figured this would be the most convenient as Eton Centris is easily accessible via EDSA, has numerous parking slots, and has lines of restaurants Centris is also the EB location of choice for the ECP (Elantra Club Philippines) too!

This might be a rare chance to interact with fellow Sonata owners (we don't usually do.. it's like asking Camry owners to meet together.. most buyers are.. well, passengers.) and to acquire information on how to acquire goodies such as our DRLs :naughty2:

Ok sa eton centris, malaki parking space nila sa likod, i usually go there, kc hndi masyado madaming tao, kaya masarap tambay dyan, madalas kami sa echostore cafe, cozy yung place and dyan kami nag mimit ng mga officemate ko, kc pwd mag pa reserved ng seats and ok naman sila kausap, and napansin ko madalas may mga car display dyan galing sa mga car dealership, bka pwd din tayo mag request sa admin ng eton ng reserved parking space for us para maganda magkakatabi lahat ng sonata, hehehehe

Hello ask ko lang po kung ilang liters yung oil ng 2.4 Engine? Plano ko mag Motul H Tech 100 on my next oil change. Also kung may naka gamit na po ba ng Drop In filter na KNN nag search ako online and yung Part number niya is 33-2448 sa autoanything.com for a Sonata 2.4. Not sure lang kung iba yung engine nung USDM kesa PHDM baka kasi iba.

How many liters po oil capacity ng Sonata 2.4? Will use sana HTECH 100 sa next oil change ko.

Also yung part number po ng KNN Drop In filter for Sonata 2.4 is 33-2448 according sa autoanything.com. Same po ba kaya ng part number yung PH version at US version? Sayang kasi 38$ lang yung drop in filter at free shipping pa.

Kung yun K&N pang 2 liter and 2.4 liter MPi engine, same lang. Not sure if pang GDi

Hmmm.. wala naman unexpected issues. A fellow Sonata member is having trouble sa aircon niya though. Yun akin naman paminsan nawawalan lang ng lamig (as if I switched off the A/C) but it'll start blowing cold air again in a few seconds -- so far happened twice na saakin in a 5 month time span.

As an owner, I'd say the panoramic glass roof will start creaking in a few years time. You'll need to pay extra attention to the rubber sidings too. But so far wala ako problema sa roof.

Another thing I appreciated is that Sonatas come with a factory rubber lip concealed sa front bumper nila. What I didn't anticipate on purchase was the wheelbase and length. There are some areas na talagang off-limits sayo dahil sa lapad mo such as Timog's Victoria Towers Basement levels.. you'll literally see-saw there (I scrapped on it dahil may elevated platform siya sa gitna. pota) and big-ass humps is a no-no.

Same here. First day? Bam!

As for the tires, wala naman ako problema sa back. Usually it's the front that gets deflated quickly since we're FWDs while the back simply follows.

Hassle. Nagcrack tires ko sa Sonata thanks to a drainage gap (yes, gap.. not pothole) that well.. dented my rims and pretty much cracked the tire.

As I'm originally a 235/35 R20... naubusan na ng stock! Called everywhere na. So I'm gonna test 245/35 R20... chances are, I'll rub the inner clip though since I have Eibach springs let's see nalang. Hassle hahaha..

I will like to note that I know two owners na having compressor issues on the Sonata YF with one of them being me.

It's still tugging along well... but I'll have to replace it na. Symptoms include nawawala yun A/C at random times (happened to me months before pa.. for now, wala) but I hear the compressor noise getting louder and louder na. Grr...

replaced mine already under warranty last march. biggest symptom yung noise (whirring sound & tunog diesel) but never naman nawala yung lamig.

Same symptom on the whirring sound. Once lang ngyari yun nawalan ng lamig though..
