Thanks sir dct! its either enabled ko na lang ung child lang for the rear doors for safety ng kids, hassle nga lang if matanda ung sumakay at baba you need to open it outside pa.

I take my car for servicing to Hyundai Sta Rosa. Look for Jinggoy, you'll instantly recognize him. No need to mention my name.

Paid around 9K for d PMS, used fully synthetic oil.

The steering coupling of my 2012 GLS was changed last month. I paid 1k plus. Hyundai las pinas said the part is not covered with 3+2 warranty

Mileage is around 100k. Tie rod ends replaced. Steering clunk over bumps is now gone. Old (right) tie rod end had a busted boot.

Alignment for toe and camber. Done.

Tested over some bumps and it feels like new.

Recently acquired a used 2011 elantra 1.6 manual. Battery was replaced a year ago according to the Original owner (panasonic) mabilis naman ang redondo but sometimes hindi tumutuloy pag start ng engine. I have to crank it again bago mag start ano po kaya problema at hindi siya one click? This happens in any weather condition or time of day lalo na pag nagamit ko na siya

I experience this intermittently in my elantra since we bought it brand new in 2011.
Had it checked several times sa casa pero walang makitang diperensya. Have learned to live with it since hindi naman malaking hassle. After mag-expire na ang warranty baka makita na din sa wakas ang issue [emoji13][emoji13]

    Hello guys.
I have a 2012 1.6 Elantra which few days ago has a rubbing clanking sound in the steering wheel.
Since I bought it 2nd hand with the 1st owner not giving me the service passbook, there is no warranty.
I have it checked by the Casa and they said they will have to replace the whole steering wheel set which is 96K plus labor.
The service advisor said this is a common Elantra and Accent problem.
Are there cheaper alternatives out there? Aftermarket parts?
    Thank you for the help.

I have the same issue with my 2011 1.8GLS elantra.

Had it evaluated in Casa. Pero 96k is too expensive.
I'm inquiring if this part is available in Banawe or in other car stores.
I heard that this problem is common for Elantra and Accent.
    Thank you.

Macstar1, I hope ur car is covered by warranty.

I experienced the same problem just last week. I hear knocking sound when you turn the wheel and it gets rattled when you hit a bump. i Went to Hyundai manila bay and diagnosis was it's a worn off flexible coupling issue.

Part was covered by warranty but diagnosis fee of P1,400 was not (up to 3 years lang daw). My car is a 2013 elantra btw.

Common problem ang flexible coupling problem ng mdps sa elantra. Mura lang ang rubber flex coupling pero mahal ang labor charge sa casa kaya abot 1k plus ang babayaran. Pwede DIY, download lang ng TSB available sa internet elantra MD.

Thank you for the inputs so far on the steering wheel.
The Casa advisor mentioned that it's the whole steering wheel column which will be replaced.
But let me check in YouTube or google these issues.
    Maraming salamat.

Casa will always recommend the most expensive part. Coupler cost vs steering column. Obvious masyado lol.
