Wanna share something re: my 2012 elantra; lately i feel that my steering has a play and tok sound when turning. Anybody here has the same issue as mine?

I noticed this, as well in my elantra. Pina-check mo na sa casa?

I ask the mechanic to tighten most of them. no issue so far with the steering.

If you Elantra(MD) owners with AT have issues with

1. Jerky shifts
2. Higher fc
3. Late shifting

You guys need to do a TCM relearn, it fixes all the issues above.

Ito brad, I think most hyundais and kias 2012 or newer will have the same procedure.

The driving learn...I pressed the pedal to about 15% (guesstimation). I think I needed 2km to reach 6th gear. My tranny works super conservative and is shifting early now.

tanong lang po.. nkabili po kasi ako ng 2ndhand na elantra 1.6 m/t.. why po door lock is acting weird? pag nasa loob ka ng elantra then lock the doors using the central locking, nabubuksan pa rin po ung front doors pag pinihit mo ung pambukas ng doors po? is that standard in hyundai elantra? hindi po ba delikado iyon? anu pa purpose nung lock kung pwede siya mabukas kahit nakalock po while inside?

For emergency po yun. Para pag kailangan buksan mabubuksan agad. Sabihan mo na lanh especially mga bata na wag paglaruan na bubuksan habang tumatakbo

Thanks sir dct! its either enabled ko na lang ung child lang for the rear doors for safety ng kids, hassle nga lang if matanda ung sumakay at baba you need to open it outside pa. If ever na palitan locking system ng elantra, possible po na hindi na mabuksan un habang nakalock na? or same pa din kahit maiba ng locking system? thanks in advance po

Front doors lang po ang me override sa door lock. Yung sa likod, hindi mo mabubuksan from the inside kapag naka-lock na.

elantra owner here. both front doors na ooveride yung lock yung likod hindi. i suggest ieducate mo na lang yung sasakay about sa lock features ng elantra

not yet! pero i read somewhere na i might be a power steering coupling issue same with the sonata. this is a small plastic/rubber part, but problem is the job in replacing this is very tedious.

Anyone here has the same issue and got theirs fix by the Casa?

Had mine checked. Casa said a MDPS bushing needs to be replaced. Scheduled to be replaced under warranty this Saturday.

Hope it finally solves the problem.

Yes i think it will resolved it! Mine is out of warranty, could you ask when how much will it cost for the replacement of the mdps bushing(i know this part is very cheap but the labor is not)?
