Depende rin sa SA. They have to consult their manager(s) first bago makipag negotiate sa DI.

If this is the case Im guessing di ka bebentahan pag cash buyer ka? Kasi kung yung PO nga ng bank, kahit papano may DI sila dun tinanggihan...

Ganun naman talaga with hot selling models, cash buyers are always discriminated. It happened with the Fortuner, the Civic FD, the Montero Sport and recently the Ford Fiesta (I am a witness to this)...

If the Elantra has a long line tapos knowing Hyundai's bad habit of being short supplied and you're a cash buyer good luck na lang. Baka by the time, lumabas na yung bagong Focus, Mazda 3 and Civic and maybe you can take a look at those...

Mismo.

What did the alleged incompetent boss do wrong?

From the consumer's/buyer's point of view, this person did not spec the Elantra well in terms of price/value ratio. Whether out of sheer incompetence or cost tenacity, is anybody's guess

    How so?

Where as the Accent (in general but most esp. the 1.4 A/T) seriously undercut its competition by offering a new competent modern platform, more features for lesser price than its competition.

Currently, the preliminary spec and price of the Elantra will not conjure the same excitement as that on the Accent.

What should this boss do ?

Learn to balance HARI's need for profit and the customer's expectation of value. Tear a page from the Accent strategy.

    What can we do?

Let HARI hear your voices. If you get the oppurtunity, talk to the people who are responsible or at least know somebody who is responsible for the product planning. Believe me, it works.

mahina benta ng hyundai dito, Nissan Altima ung malakas saka syempre mga higanteng pick-up

Anong unfair duon? Bakit mo isusumbong sa DTI? I don't get it... A car company can spec and price as they please... This is the free markets. Now if the market will respond favorably, now that's an entirely different matter... If you don't like it, don't buy it and hopefully that will send them a message!

Sorry boss I was referring to the Dealer not accepting cash buyers...

As for the spec... Looks like kahit ano spec pa ilabas ng hyundai ngayon bebenta...pero siguro once the focus and m3 arrives theyll think twice.

Oh well. Wala naman problem sa pricing ng Elantra. Problem lang yung specs.

Kung pantay yung specs nung 1.8 GLS A/T at Civic 1.8S A/T, eh pwede na. Kaya we have to wait for the actual 1.8 GLS A/T unit. For 938K, mura talaga yun.

if the one in MIAS has the same actual spec thats gonna be sold out for 938k then its a keeper!

just dissapointed about the color selection....walang kulay Talong, walang brown tapos kung ano pa yung kulay nung display unit yun pa yung hindi kasama sa selection na ibebenta dito....

Mismo.

Yung kulay talong, no chance, kahit sa Korea walang talong. Sa Accent natin abangan yung talong. Ang masakit e walang bronze at yung blue

    Forgot the name eh.

Anyone here who wants to replace that a$?

150BHP daw yung 1.8Li. eh.

    True.

But as I said again, meron akong mga narining na serious quality issues..and I'm talking about stuff like STALLED engines and the like.

And take note the '11 Elantras made in SK are also exported to the US because of the huge demand.

I have yet to still hear major quality-related incidents of 2011 Elantra owners in the US whose cars were made in SK.

THE CEO OF HYUNDAI MOTORS HIMSELF

    (It's a fact)

Well isipin mo na lang din na last year pa nangyari yun...eh ilang buwan na ang lumipas at wala pa tayong naririning sa same incident so.....

I'll just say, that it's not always what car enthusiast wants is the best selling or even a decent seller. Look at the Civic 2.0 S-L and Civic 2.0 S M/T. Honda phased out both of these models because the demand was low, even if the specs were great. Everyone bought the Civic 1.8S, sometimes the Civic 1.8V. The Altis also, yung mga TOTL variants nila hard sell pa rin mapa 1.8V or 2.0V.

For me I can live without auto-climate, just as long na may A/C yung car okay na sa akin.

Also, auto-climate for me is overrated especially in a compact sedan. For me the temperature of each passenger doesn't matter because the car is so small if one passenger has a cold setting the whole car might as well get cold eventually because of the compact dimensions. But that's just me.
