kaya dapat mag shape up si HARI kasi the Japs and Americans have noticed the Koreans and treated them as serious competition. baka next year all Japs ulit ang dominant auto manufacturer :hooray:

i am attracted to the elantra's body design. deal breaker lang sakin yung cost of PMS ng hyundai. ginagatasan nila mga hyundai owners using the famous line nila na: MA VOID WARRANT PAG DI SA CASA BIBILHIN ANG OIL AND PARTS!!!
Ano naman connect ng engine displacement sa transmission? Even 1.3L subcompacts like the City and Jazz have 5-speed automatics. The Fiesta has a 6-speed dual clutch. A cheap car doesn't have to use an old transmission.

More modern transmissions have more than 4 forward gears for the reason that more gears gives them more flexibility with the gear ratios. Gear ratios that are too far apart are less economical in the city (but good in the highway for low-rev cruising). Gear ratios that are too close are great for city use (which is why a lot of city cars have close ratio gearboxes) but run out of steam easily on the highway.

Fact is, Mitsubishi used an older transmission (the 4-AT) instead of the more modern CVT to save costs, hoping that buyers won't care. And I'm pretty sure they don't, if you look at how well the 1.6L Altis is selling.

Tulad nung nabasa ko noon sa Accent thread.

If they want a Hyundai, they will buy a Hyundai.
