Wala ng delay sa acceleration sa euro2 update. Pero may gas station na kinikilingan accent ko. Pag sa petron may very slight knocking parin. Sa shell nitro plus totally eliminated knocking and better response.Yun nga lang napansin ko mas malakas sa gas pag sa shell compared sa Petron. Well i guess you cant have it all.
By the way a/t pala unit ko. Acceleration from standstill is instantaneous. Parang parehas na nung kakabili ko palang.

July 31st, 2012 12:11 AM #1675Hi i'm just new here, and i've been reading ung thread, re: delayed accelaretion or engine knock, i don't know, mine is 1.4 A/T. May time na pagapak ko sa gas, parang hirap sya umandar.... Then pag ineffort ko na apakan ung gas.. Parang may slight thud na parang tinulak ung kotse (i guess ung sa pag change gear) i know this is not normal.. Pero can anyone tell kung anu kaya ung problem? I tried asking hyundai north edsa re: ecu upgrade, pero nd na daw nila ginagawa, as mandated by HARI.
One more thing, since i bought the car, May 2012, I've been using shell unleaded, kaya lng madami nagsabi na i should use shell vpower nitro+, so i did, kaya lng napansin ko parang hirap ung makina, then dun din nagstart ung parang hirap magaccelerate na parang tinulak ung car, so i revert to shell unleaded, umokay naman ung takbo kaya lng nangyayari pa din ung delayed acceleration. May effect ba tlga ung pag gamit ko ng nito+?
Lastly, anu ba tlga dapat ang tire pressure? Iba iba kasi cnasabi nila... Meron nagsabi 32 fron n back, meron nmn 30 front n back, tapos meron din 30 front 32 back...
Sorry sa madaming questions... I really don't have any idea sa cars.. Thanks

July 31st, 2012 09:23 AM #1676If you open the driver's side door, there should be a sticker on the car body that indicates the manufacturer's recommended PSI to be filled in the tires.
Of course you can deviate slightly by overinflating or underinflating, but not by too much (maybe 3-5 PSI overinflation, or around 2-3 PSI underinflation).
It is important to note however that you should check your tire pressure early in the morning when the sun hasn't warmed the air inside the tires (unless you park your car in a shaded area) and BEFORE any long trips. You should also have traveled around less than 3KM, as running the tires also warm the air inside (increasing tire pressure).
**The tire pressure indicated on the car sticker is for cold air pressure.
hope this helps.

July 31st, 2012 10:05 AM #1677i'm not sure if what you're experiencing is what we used to experience and call as low power issue. this is what the implication of hyundai initial and unsuccessful solution to address the root cause of accent problem, the "Fuel Knock". Mine is M/T, i think Bratski could tell and assess it more right since he has also A/T. There were times, esp in 2nd gear, car will not respond for seconds even you already applied gas but when it does, it will give you sudden kick/speed. several times i almost hit car in front of me in heavy traffic. but right after hyundai's euro2 upgrade, issues were resolved. but compare to other car brands i drove, specifically in 2nd gear, they have better kicks. with all comments you've read here you can really be paranoid. but don't confused, i'm not sure if what you're experiencing is lower power or the latter comparison. if you just bought your car, i'm sure Hyundai already upgraded/adjusted you ecu to euro2, kaya sinabi nila na di na sila nag u-upgrade.

August 3rd, 2012 12:22 AM #1679Thanks for your reply... I'm not sure on the difference between the low power or the fuel knock.. But based on what you said, the latter is somewhat closer on what i have experienced.. If hyundai can not upgrade my ecu anymore, will there be any other remedy? To be honest i'm getting quite disappointed with accent.. Even the fuel consumption.. Sobrang lakas pala sa gas... I'm just getting 7km/L.. Pag traffic 6km/L pa..

August 3rd, 2012 12:46 AM #1680i use 1.4MT, averaging 9-10 km/L, night driving condition. ECU not yet updated, occasional fuel knocks. probably an ECU update be an option for my next PMS. but still satisfied. AccentHyu2012, I suggest you have your ECU updated to Euro2. Huwag yung Euro1 - Euro2, medyo sasablay as per the postings here (back read lang). kung nabasa mo lang lahat ng post ni sir bratski...
Interesting thread—really important to consider the broader impact of the National ID Law beyond...
