I have not checked the PMS job details but as far as I can remember hindi nila nililinis ito during the entire 3 year warranty period of my Tucs. Kaya ako na mismo ang nagtanggal at naglinis. You can view in youtube several procedures in cleaning EGR. Mine after about 4 years swerte malinis pa ang EGR valve & intercooler nang buksan ko.

Can anyone please recommend an underchassis (shock absorber replacement) shop in the Makati area. I have a Hyundai Tucson Crdi 2005 that suddenly become bouncy after a change oil. I read around that lifting the car while the heavy wheels are still attached may damage the shock absorbers (hyperextension). It is about time that the shocks gave in too. I was thinking of KYB gas shocks (if possible). Going to the Hyundai dealer would be quite costly. Thank you.

Mga Tucson owners, question lang po.
We have a 2005 Tucson CRDi. Inaadjust po ba valve clearance nito?
I talked to a mechanic pero hindi siya sure e. yung iba daw kasi autolash.
I need to clarify this sana sa inyo kasi balak po namin na magpa general checkup.
    Thank you Sirs!

Auto Lash po ang intake/exhaust valves. Walang tappet clearance adjustment table sa service manual po.
If you like I can send you the full engine service manual ng D4EA engine.

Maraming Salamat sir. Akala ko inaadjust pa, maingay na kasi yung engine e.
Baka dun kasi galing. Actually, parang jeep na yung tunog niya

I'll have it checked nalang. Thank you sir.

I just had our Tucson 2008 CRDI serviced for 105k kilometers travelled. Still very satisfied with its performance. Since it is not covered by warranty anymore I had it oiled with HGMO synthetic and plan to do topping off every 6 months.

Congrats for your well maintained 1st gen tucson. Mine is 2007 model at about 64K Kilometrage and still doing good, except for the faint thud sound when passing those humps at not so slow speed the suv is otherwise fine. I used Top 1 synthetic oil. This is not a daily use vehicle..

I suggest you have that faint thud sound looked at by a competent person so the problem doesn't aggravate and affects other parts. On my next servicing, Hyundai Davao mentioned that I need my rear drum brakes replaced and also some parts on the front end. I also had my coolant line checked because I had to fill up the reservoir by around 100ml every two weeks. They found out there was a leak on the line. I had already two complete tire changes. The tires have to be replaced after 50-55k kilometers. I had three battery changes already. The batteries lasted for 2years. Lastly, you won't believe this, I had two windshield changes already. Good thing the insurance company shouldered most of the cost. The windshield costs P25k. I had these two unfortunate incidents of the glass being hit by stone.

The car had been to the tip of Cape San Agustin, Davao Oriental and Glan, Saranggani beaches (South) all the way to Sohoton Caves in Samar and Camiguin Island (North). I had brought it to Dakak, Dapitan, Zamboanga (West) and to Aliwagwag Falls, Cateel, Davao Oriental (East).

It has been a pretty good driving experience. I would say it is battle tested and still going strong. It can still overtake other SUV's even the new ones especially on twisting mountain passes.
