I think different Casa different offer. I got my MMC last year, pahirapan din makakuha ng Jazz nun. pero i still got my tint free all sides, rust proofing, LTO registration, floor mat and seat covers free. We negotiated with our SA kc sabi ko tagal ko nagantay for the unit. pero un nga walang umbrella maybe coz i forgot to ask na haha excited sa kotse e ! haha

pero bro i think mej mahal na nga talaga ung Jazz at 899k. a toyota altis or a ford fiesta or even the MMC city offers a more practical and value choice. If ako sa situation mo, I won't get the Jazz. I love the Jazz but *899k its asking too much na. we need to be smart bout money unless super yaman tayo =)

Good luck bro! Remember, you're going to be stuck with the car your getting for how many years. make sure no regrets =)

I am sooooo NOT happy I'm kinda starting to hate this car.

yung rustproofing no need to get one, alam ko mayroon na daw factory rustproofing ang mga brand new vehicles (pls correct me on this).

    Good day mga sir/ma'am,

Is it worth it po ba at this price point and compared sa bagong labas din na competition?
Aftermarket man or original Para po if ever gustuhin mang magupgrade one day?

I've been following this thread for a while and I thought about posting just now,
even before nalaman namin yung specs. And to be honest, nadisappoint kasi ako nung nalaman kong downgraded yung body into 1.3 variant nadagdagan lang ng foglamps. Although I like the added interior features, natanggalan din kasi ng rear disk brakes, tapos lalo pang nagmahal kaya nagkakasecond thoughts ako about the purchase.

If you're interested po sa story, eto po sya in a gist:

Although mas mura talaga yung dati Thailand model, we were willing enough to deal with the higher premium as well as dropped features. I would've lived without the cruise control, AC glovebox, and manual headlamp adjustments. The real dillema I'm having now is this: that the unit is taking too long to get here. Wala pa rin daw and they've already made 3 promises to us since January. Truth be told, nakakapanghinayang na talaga. It's actually pretty frustrating since mataas talaga ang pagtingin ko sa Honda, brand-wise, since we've owned a brand new City back in 2008.

I'd like to share with you my opinion and personal experience with the Honda Jazz.

When the MMC Jazz 1.5V came out last year, it was priced at 857K, about 15K higher than the pre-mmc * 842K. The main competitor of the Jazz (in my opinion) is the Ford Fiesta 1.6 Sport which was priced at 816K I think. so the variance you pay for the extra versatility of the Jazz was only 41K. Pricey but manageable.

Now the JAZZ EX * 899K is a bit too much already thats about 83K or 10% more of the price tag of a Fiesta Sport. sure they added cruisecontrol, audiocontrols, a/c glovebox but removed the disc brake (wth?) and the RS bodykit. Clearly not worth it if you ask me. Yes, its CBU Japan but I'm pretty sure they have Japanese standards in their Thai Plant so I'm assured the quality is the same where ever it was built.

As for the Rio, I'm not so impressed, It's a 1.4 and priced more expensive the Ford Fiesta Sport with about the same features. So I'll pick the Fiesta anytime over it.

As for the body kit... are u really going to spend more money on that after getting a Jazz priced * 899K ? If ever , I'd get the Mugen Body kit nalng. Mas maganda pa kesa the RS body kit last year's jazz had (ofcourse since its an aftermarket add-on). Expected to spend around 40K for that.

As for the waiting part of your story, I can perfectly relate hehe frustrating talaga. same thing happened to me when I purchased my MMC Jazz 1.5 last year. Imagine, I ordered last week of March 2011. Dumating ung Jazz ko 3rd Week August. I waited for about 5 months for it. They said the same thing, June then it became July and I was really almost going to give up and get a City but my Agent told me, August na talaga just wait. I had to really think bout it since my car will be my car for years. dapat no regrets. I waited for my Jazz and I'm really happy with her. No regrets. Definitely worth the wait coz na gustohan ko talaga ung MMC body kit which is the same body kit Honda FIT RS has. (top of the line na Jazz in Japan)

In conclusion, my advise if you can wait for the Thai plant to open up get the Jazz with the RS body kit. If not, I think its better to get a Ford Fiesta Sport than get the Jazz EX * 899K

Wow, thank you po. Salamat sa insight.
Nanghihinayang talaga ako sa body kit nya. Ansama sa pakiramdam nung may ipinangako na sa iyo tapos biglang ibang iba yung makukuha mo on the last minute, plus the awful pricing and the watered-down product pa.
Though I've read somewhere na iba daw talaga yung built kapag Japan, parang mas maganda daw quality wise, mas matibay, etc. Hindi ko pa nakikita yung Honda Jazz EX sa personal pero I've seen the new City and it does feel different. Parang premium yung materials.

About sa Ford Fiesta naman po
The downside for me is about the only thing I'm still clutching on to the Jazz for is yung space. Saka I've read and watched from some car reviews na masikip daw yung rear seats ng Fiesta plus hindi flat yung likod kapag nafold yung upuan.
What's your take on this sir? Saka totoo po bang mas mataas ang resale value nung Honda Jazz EX dahil fully made and assembled from Japan? and can I say the same for the Ford? mayroon din po bang mga spare parts na available dito sa Pinas saka accessories for the Fiesta?

Okay lang haha MMC = Minor Model Change pwde din term for facelift, its when the car in its middle product life cycle gets a makeover para magmikhang bago and to compete with new models from competitors
CBU = Complete Built Unit , its Cars na imported and not assembled or manufactured locally. So for Honda, almost all their products are CBU, only Honda City is assembled in Laguna.

Un nga lang, parang watered down nga dahil na tangal ung disc brake at bodykit tapos tinaasan ung presyo pa. Walang debate on the quality and reliability nyan.

Ung na rinig mo sa Fiesta tama yan. the rear seats are definitely small. when you fold the rear seats they dont fold flat. and ofcourse resale value is higher ung honda. plus after market support for honda. Now, if you need the space, get the Jazz talaga.
Pero I think parang laki na ng gastos mo if kukuha ka ng Jazz EX tapos pakabitan ng MMC Bodykit. Cgro around 930 - 950k gastos mo. Baka when the Thai plant opens , babalik ung presyo sa dati, e di sayang lang ung gastos =S unless money is not an issue

I think the Jazz EX will fetch a higher resale in the future but the MMC Jazz will always be the favorite and sought after one because of the RS Bodykit in my opinion =) especially since it was only sold for what? 6 months in 2011? unti lang tumatakbo sa road hehe Like now, you want the MMC Jazz despite meron Jazz EX diba?

Sooo I think you've made up your mind on what you really want. Its just a question of whether you are willing to wait for what you want Ask you SA when kaya ung Thai plant magback online and ung timeline for the Jazz, baka babalik ung MMC Jazz. Try calling Honda HQ din, ung customer service nila is very accommodating din. Kudos to them for keeping me updated when I was waiting for my ride.

    Here's my Cheetos:

Uy, eto yung gusto kong spoiler kaso ang hirap hanapin so I ended with the lip-type spoiler. Can I ask kung san ka nagpakabit nito boss?
