    Let's be objective..

Normal fuel consumption of a gasoline-fed compact sedan is around 8-10 km/Liter. Here are some tips that can help you achieve better fuel mileage.

    1. OIL CHANGE - 100% Motul H-Tech 100 Plus 5W-30 with Engine Flush.
    2. TUNE-UP : Air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter.
    3. QUICKLUBE : Change fluids and lubricants.
    4. Air-up all four tires to 32 PSI.
    5. Remove excess and unnecessary weight. If you can.. fill-up only half a tank at a time.
    6. Only use unleaded gasoline. Use fuel injector cleaner additives to clean your fuel line/system.
    7. Keep city cruising speed at around 60 kph on third/fourth gear.
    8. Drive sensibly. Aggressive driving (speeding, rapid acceleration and braking) wastes fuel.
    9. Plan your everyday driving trips. Combining errands into one trip saves you time and money
    10. Avoid Excessive Idling. If you will be parking/waiting more than 3 minutes.. KILL THE ENGINE.

    Hope that helps!

Pag mainit na yung makina dapat di na lalampas ng 1000 rpm with or without aircon.

Its perfectly normal. The ECU automatically controls engine RPM to quickly achieve optimum operating temperature.

Honestly, just dont press hard on the gas pedal too much and avoid accelerating then braking like those jeeps na kala mo kailangan maunahan ang lahat and then biglang stop kasi may pumara.

*oikim, tama sabi ni sir kiper, it's perfectly normal from cold start then when it reach the normal operating temp, it will go down to 650-800 (w/ AC). mine pala is '97 Civic VTi A/T. Ginagawa ko para mas makatipid pa... pagkastart, slowly gapang na ako forward w/out accelerating muna... wala pa naman ako sa main street & wala naman car sa likod ko. ours is not diesel na need talaga painitin pa (para sa mga old diesel engine ata ang style na'to)... oh btw, when turning off the engine, wag mo na i-rev pa ng ilang beses, sayang sa gas... habang tumatakbo ka umiikot na ang oil kaya no need na gawin yan, time pa nina lolo yang style na yan old skul ika nga. ;)
