You don't have to give CVT car a lot of gas going uphill, 1500 to 2000 rpm is enough to climb. It will even speed up, up shift, while maintaining constant rpm. Downhill just ease on the gas and it will slow down through engine break. If you wish to slow down more downhill just break a little and release and it will stay on that speed usually, unless the hill is quiet steep wherein you'll need to assist the engine break with your break.

I used to have an older cvt... Just drive it like a bump car, minus the bumping, of course.. You know... Point and scoot.

Use the extra gear set right below D, its either B or S for uphill & downhill to ensure a long life of service with your CVT

Hmmm... Pareho lng driving style ko with Cvt vs any AT. Remember to put it at N when stopped. Replaced ATF at 40k kms.

^sticking to D is not good for any AT transmission including CVT. Shifting to N from time to time will prolong the service life of any AT

Driving steep uphill & downhill roads require low gears provided by L, 2, B or S

What problems are you referring to? You might be referring to the problems of the faulty CVTs of the old City and Jazz (2002-2007).

The CVT of the current Jazz, City, and Mobilio are completely different and I haven't heard of any widespread complaints about it.
